We have only been there once, so I can only comment on this one experience. I am a history buff and loved the old pictures and the idea of the Industrial Revolution! My food was good, but my husband’s was better. I will try something different next time we go. The dessert was delicious! Unfortunately our server was not very attentive. Hopefully the next time we have better service. We do plan to go again sometime!

My husband and I come to Valparaiso about twice a month and decided to stop in here for lunch. Let’s just say it was the BEST decision! I had the stuffed bacon burger and he had the welded nachos! The fried pickles were also amazing! Service was on point as well! We’ll definitely be back!

It’s now our tradition to stop here on our way home from the Indiana Dunes. Very consistently good over the years. Above average burgers and great pot roast. Theme of the building works well too. I also grew up near the Madam CJ Walker Theater, so it was nice to see a meal named after her here.

Sitting by the kitchen made it tough to pick just one item to eat as everything looked delicious! My picky teenager gave the chicken pot pie two thumbs up. The burgers and fries were amazing, and my bbq pork sandwich was outstanding and enough for two meals. We will definitely return (because I need to try the Mac n cheese!!!)!

Great place to eat! Love the decor and history! Additionally, the food was delicious! I had lunch with some friends and we all tried the soups, salad, and a burger. Each of the food choices were incredibly delicious. I personally got the industrial burger and it was cooked medium (preferred – super juicy and good)! The famous garlic potato wedges came as a side and they were on point and tasty! The burger was well put together and I crushed it! Next time, I want to try to sampler! Sounded super good. This is on my list to visit again in the future.

Wow! When I Googled restaurants near me, on our road trip, I saw the pics & menu for this place. It surpassed all my expectations! We arrived 1hr before closing, were greeted & seated immediately. Very polite, friendly, and efficient servers. The decor, was historically amazing. The food?!! Hot, fresh and delicious! We even learned things we didn’t know about the Industrial Revolution, just by sitting & looking around us. You will LOVE this unique dining experience! Highly recommended!

Delicious! Love the decor. Boneless Fried chicken is my favorite! Just wish they would throw 2 pieces of chicken on the plate :). I travel all over the US, and this is one the the dishes I order when I get back home! Update- ordered this again and the chicken portions were much bigger- good stuff! They have a variety of good items on the menu.
