Hoa’s family have operated this business since the 90s, they arrived as refugees from Northern Vietnam. The restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese food in a clean, modern Vietnamese designed setting.

I had the Vietnamese coffee with salted foam – a great fusion of traditional ca phe with salted foam on top.

Hoa recommend the bun cha lemongrass pork (vermicelli noodle bowl) with spring rolls. Light, fresh, delicious with a generous serve of noodles, greens, spring rolls, and pork.

The service was warm, friendly & personable. They have an outdoor seating area that has umbrellas, where I read my book for a moment before going inside to escape the heat in the AC chilled restaurant.

I overheard many commenting on how good the pho was, and I’ll definitely be back for that!

What topped the experience was Hoa and her friendly team. She gave me some recommendations for Melbourne as I’ve just moved!

Expect friendly, Asian hospitality and service. She’s literally telling me to eat than write this review as I’m typing it in store

I used cash as the machine charged a surcharge.

I had the best meal today — everything was so delicious! The nem nuong was the star of the show. It was so flavorful and perfectly made that I couldn’t stop eating! If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and good vibes, this is it. I seriously want everyone to come and try it. Trust me… once you taste it, you’ll understand why I’m obsessed. Let’s eat here together next time!

In love with the authentic and fusion taste of Vietnamese food of this restaurant. Without amiss, the spring rolls will always hit the spot whether you’re craving crunchy or chewy, each spring rolls will always remind you why it’s popular in the first place. My favorite will forever be the noodle soups, specifically the tom yum pho and the special beef pho. Each broth like drinking liquid gold, the care and detail the chef has put into making it consistently savory and aromatic can never be forgotten, you’ll need to come back for more.

The price may look intimidating( the quality of the food explains the price itself) but you’ll be worried whether or not you can finish the portion provided in each dish instead!

This place should be rated higher. The food was fantastic! Great prices and portions. Service was good, too.

You will spend about $35 per person BUT you will end up with with plenty of takeaway because the serving size is huge. Lasted us another meal.

Great spot for authentic Vietnamese food! The meals are big in portion, full of flavor, and come at a competitive price. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. It’s a comfortable and cozy place to hang out with friends or family. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving delicious Vietnamese cuisine!

Chicken pho

We left very satisfied and full. Would definitely come back again.

Highly recommend prawn spring rolls, the fillings are generous and the outside is so crunchy.

Chicken pho was very umami and did not skimp on the chicken either.

Honey chicken I wasn’t sure about as it just tasted like lemon preserve. It tasted sour and slightly bitter. Would not recommend unless you really like lemon.

The place was clean and had an upscale but practical vibe.

Was packed on Sunday lunchtime so might wanna come a bit early on weekends. Food came out relatively quickly.

Parking is easy in the box hill station next door, only cost a dollar for an hour

Used to come here with my parents when I was a kid, coming back as an adult was enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They didn’t charge us for the takeaway containers which was a pleasant surprise. Food was decent too.

I’ve been coming to Indochine for almost 10 years now, often driving all the way from inner-city Melbourne two or three times a month. Even though we live in an area with plenty of great restaurants and often try new places, nothing really compares to Indochine.
It’s always worth the trip. The food is consistently good quality, healthy, great value, and you can always rely on a great meal. The owner and staff are lovely and make you feel welcome every time.
Our go-to dishes are the Satay Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chilli Basil Prawns, Sweet and Sour Pork, Bun Bowl, and Duck in Plum Sauce. There are so many good options on the menu, but we keep ordering the same favourites again and again because they never disappoint.
Highly recommended — we’ll keep coming back.
