I had the Vietnamese coffee with salted foam – a great fusion of traditional ca phe with salted foam on top.
Hoa recommend the bun cha lemongrass pork (vermicelli noodle bowl) with spring rolls. Light, fresh, delicious with a generous serve of noodles, greens, spring rolls, and pork.
The service was warm, friendly & personable. They have an outdoor seating area that has umbrellas, where I read my book for a moment before going inside to escape the heat in the AC chilled restaurant.
I overheard many commenting on how good the pho was, and I’ll definitely be back for that!
What topped the experience was Hoa and her friendly team. She gave me some recommendations for Melbourne as I’ve just moved!
Expect friendly, Asian hospitality and service. She’s literally telling me to eat than write this review as I’m typing it in store
I used cash as the machine charged a surcharge.
The price may look intimidating( the quality of the food explains the price itself) but you’ll be worried whether or not you can finish the portion provided in each dish instead!
You will spend about $35 per person BUT you will end up with with plenty of takeaway because the serving size is huge. Lasted us another meal.
Prawn spring rolls
Chicken pho
We left very satisfied and full. Would definitely come back again.
Highly recommend prawn spring rolls, the fillings are generous and the outside is so crunchy.
Chicken pho was very umami and did not skimp on the chicken either.
Honey chicken I wasn’t sure about as it just tasted like lemon preserve. It tasted sour and slightly bitter. Would not recommend unless you really like lemon.
The place was clean and had an upscale but practical vibe.
Was packed on Sunday lunchtime so might wanna come a bit early on weekends. Food came out relatively quickly.
Parking is easy in the box hill station next door, only cost a dollar for an hour
It’s always worth the trip. The food is consistently good quality, healthy, great value, and you can always rely on a great meal. The owner and staff are lovely and make you feel welcome every time.
Our go-to dishes are the Satay Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Chilli Basil Prawns, Sweet and Sour Pork, Bun Bowl, and Duck in Plum Sauce. There are so many good options on the menu, but we keep ordering the same favourites again and again because they never disappoint.
Highly recommended — we’ll keep coming back.
