We like really extra delicious food. That’s what I tell locals whenever soliciting restaurant advice: “what’s the most delicious food?”
I only grabbed a Pic of the dessert (graciously offered after seeing us hem and haw about it), but the food here was insane. I said “whoa” out loud twice while eating dessert. Spiced like gingerbread, one of the most unique cakes we’ve ever had, with some sort of crazy smooth vanilla ice cream and creme anglais.
Still reading? Just come here.
If you want more details though, heres our order:
-hot chocolate ginger cake with vanilla ice cream (blueberry and fresh strawberry)
-roti: soooo good. Probably the table favorite, we almost order this for Salty dessert
-pad thai: well executed. We got chicken that was nicely cooked, juicy not dried, not too citrus-y
-rib eye: no regrets. Dip it in roti sauce for bonus flavor party
Shout out to the bartender with the silky baritone. Juan, you magnificent man, we will be back… frequently! (Maybe next time I’ll take pics of the food before inhaling it)
We went in for lunch with office colleagues. The decor is nicely kept with tasteful southeast Asian artifacts. The nice entrance leads to an indoor bar/lounge, then into tables and then into heated outdoor tent enclosure. All of it screams upscale, befitting the upscale location it’s located in.
The attentive staff lays off when you want to into sone business and swoops in when you are ready to order.
The all time fav’s like the roti-prata hit the spot as usual, and other specialties are tasty – but lunch-sized portions leave the stomach a bit wanting for more.
The place does get more lively at night and you might have to wait to get in on some days. But of get in there. It’s an elegant place for good food, conversation with colleagues and friends.
Everyone loved the food, it’s a mix of Indonesian flavors and some dishes elevated with more modern flavors. Portions were good sized while being tasty and delicious. Didn’t have a single bad dish. Favorite dishes were the mussels, prawns and garlic noodles, and the steak. The desserts are quite tasty as well.
Service was friendly and food came out quickly.
