Indigo Indian Cuisine – Rehoboth Reviews
Reviews
The value here is outstanding for the quality you’re getting — the portions and ingredients absolutely match the price, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the whole dining experience felt elevated yet relaxed.
Indigo has clearly earned its rave reviews. If you’re craving Indian cuisine done right — with flavor, heat, and heart — this is your spot. I’ll be returning again (and again).
What was most surprising was that an Indian restaurant was out of rice. For a table of 9 people, we were initially served only one portion of rice with five entrées. After we asked for more, two additional portions were brought, which was still not enough for our group. When we requested more rice again, we were told it would take 15 minutes because they had run out. Instead of apologizing, the staff member responded with an attitude, stating that we either had to wait 15 minutes or order naan instead.
On top of that, no one checked on our table to ask if the food was good or to refill our water. We had to repeatedly call someone over just to get more water.
For the price point, better service, courtesy, and attention to basic expectations are needed. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.
For those not wishing to venture into hot and spicy my party found the “mild” option to be not hot at all and provides an experience that excentuates on the sweet offerings of the dish. For those into spice your answer is yes, their medium gave me a good kick but they can make the dish hotter than their hottest hot!
Pro tip, Make sure to get the Naan as it helps sop up excess sauce since the rice provided is a little lighter in quantity than what I or my party was used to.
For the business, while the quality food was on par, a larger the quantity of rice would be very appreciated.
We skipped appetizers and went straight to the mains—Saag Paneer, Dal Tadka, and Shahi Chicken Korma. The complimentary papad and chutneys were a nice touch to start the meal. The Dal Tadka and Saag Paneer were both delicious, with the dal paired with rice being especially comforting and satisfying. We also ordered Garlic Naan and Tandoori Roti, which complemented the dishes perfectly.
The Chicken Korma was tender and flavorful, though it reminded us more of butter chicken than a traditional coconut-based korma.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the warm hospitality. Looking forward to dining here again!
