This restaurant totally exceeded my expectations! The food was so tasty — every bite was just perfect. The place itself has such a nice vibe: clean, beautifully decorated, and relaxing. We ordered spicy dosa, egg dosa, poori, dragon chicken, and goli soda. Only the dosas were good—everything else was extremely oily.
The dragon chicken was nothing like what the menu described (see picture). It looked poorly made and was honestly inedible. When asked, the explanation given was unsatisfactory.
The staff member was polite and friendly, no issues there, but the food quality was very poor. Overall, disappointing experience. Only recommend this place for dosas.

Taste of India in Ongar impressed with its flavorful dishes. The veg fried rice was aromatic, the creamy prawn curry and smooth lamb, and the Gobi Manchurian had a perfect spicy kick. Great taste, generous portions, and cozy ambience. Definitely worth a visit!

Indian Taste Restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious—especially the chicken starters—and the drinks were excellent as well. Every dish was full of authentic flavor and beautifully served.
The staff were extremely courteous and professional, and the service was outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised when they prepared a special sweet for my birthday as a complimentary gesture, which made the experience truly memorable and special.

I ordered from Indian Taste in Ongar Square and the food arrived completely cold. Saag paneer and rice, stone cold and not edible. I rang the restaurant straight away and spoke to a staff member named Priyanka. She acknowledged the problem and told me they could either resend the food the same day or sort it out on my next order. I said I would call back on Friday and she told me that was fine and asked me to keep my order number.
When I called back later, suddenly nobody knew anything about it. The staff said there was nothing in their system and acted like the conversation never happened. The manager was extremely rude, dismissive, and made no effort at all to help. It honestly felt like they were just trying to get rid of me.
I paid €25.65, received cold food, was told the issue would be sorted, and then completely brushed off. That is unacceptable. Judging by their already bad reviews, this clearly isn’t a one-off.
The food was poor, the customer service was even worse, and I will never order from here again. I strongly recommend staying away.

Simple establishment, clean and tidy with pleasant themed music playing, not too load. My first time ordering or eating Indian food, awesome flavors and great portions. The manager was short staffed but remained pleasant and helpful, as well as hurrying along to ensure both the delivery pickup orders and our own were delivered and tasty! Definitely a place worth revisiting, lots of other great sounding menu items to try! Chicken masala, Tikka masala, house special schezwan noodles with chicken.
