Absolutely love this place! Their butter chicken curry anr garlic naan really remind me of CoCo’s from when I was stationed in Okinawa. I miss a lot of the food there and this place is really attentive and always takes great care of their customers. They repeat back your order, check in on you, offer boxes and make sure to allow you to eat in peace without constantly stopping by. Their food is great! (We brought boba from another place and they didn’t mind at all. The Boba in the photo is not from this restaurant!)

Our lunch was one of the best in town. What a refreshing experience hidden in Jacksonville. Our waiter was attentive, accommodating, and on top of his game. The food was delicious! I will definitely be adding this to my regular lunch spots.

The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced, with tender pieces of chicken coated in a smooth tomato-butter gravy that felt indulgent without being too heavy. The beet tikki chaat was a pleasant surprise—crispy on the outside, soft inside, with a lovely earthy sweetness from the beetroot, balanced by tangy chutneys and fresh toppings. Together, the dishes offered a great mix of comfort and street-style flavors. Definitely memorable and satisfying. The chicken biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with perfectly cooked rice layered with tender, well-spiced chicken and subtle Malabar aromas. Each bite felt rich without being overpowering. The Malabar group curry was equally impressive—deeply spiced, comforting, and full of traditional coastal flavors, with a beautifully balanced gravy. Together, the dishes showcased authentic Malabar cuisine at its best.

Ocean Bay Indian Restaurant is a true gem that brings warmth, flavor, and generous hospitality to the table. From the moment you walk in, the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a casual vibe.

The butter chicken is absolutely delicious. The chicken is tender and juicy, smothered in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce that’s perfectly spiced. It is savory with a touch of sweetness and a gentle kick of heat. Every bite is comforting and full of flavor.

The shrimp biryani is another standout. The rice is fragrant and fluffy, seasoned perfectly, had dried cranberries and generously layered with plump, well-cooked shrimp. It is a flavorful dish that easily stands on its own.

And the garlic naan warm, fresh, and it’s soft on the inside with just a slight crisp on the edges. The roasted garlic flavor is bold but balanced, making it the perfect accompaniment for scooping up every last bit of the butter chicken sauce.

Portions are large, prices are fair, and the quality is outstanding.

Surprisingly Delicious South Indian food! I read a review about the portion size being generous and they were correct! The price is worth it because we had so many left overs that we created a second dinner with the left overs the following day. We were impressed with the amount of flavors and how well everything paired together. Their chicken noodles were my favorite. Samosa made for the perfect appetizer, just the right about of crisp and no grease. Both the Garlic Cheese Nan and regular cheese Nan were excellent to dip into the curry. I would recommend ordering the tandoori platter for two to try the different meats instead of doing a sheesh kebab as an appetizer.
The server was very kind and our food came out quickly!
My only caveat would be that the bathroom could use an upgrade.
We will definitely be returning very soon!

I hate to do this. But I’m begging the owners to reconsider the direction this place went after renovations/rebranding. OLD OCEAN BAY: My husband and I were loyal customer’s. The food was out of this world incredible!!! We tried many dishes. The portions were huge. We could either split a meal, or order our own and have lunch the next day. (And my husband is a big eater). The inside was beautiful, colorful, lively, Bollywood’s on the TV’s, marigold garlands, the air was spicy. It was an experience for each sense.
NEW OCEAN BAY: The inside is…. incredibly bland. But, not important. We ordered butter chicken (formerly a thick, rich, flavorful sauce) The food was NOT at all the same quality this time. Most disappointingly, we received not even HALF the portions. Half pint of rice. 2 chunks of chicken, not 2 thighs, not 2 legs….2 literal pieces of chicken floating in a thin, lackluster sauce. Thats it. And it was more expensive this time. I’d been dreaming of their butter chicken the entire time they were closed so I was extremely disappointed at this new version. I’m so glad we did not decide to split one meal like we used to, because I would have had to throw a frozen pizza in the oven. We will try again in a month and see, but I doubt it will suddenly go back to the way it was before. Thankfully I am a decent cook and am already researching how to make authentic Indian food myself as I think my own kitchen will now be the only way to get it in Jacksonville. 🙁

First time going here and unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures but we plan on coming back so I will update. We had the veggies samosa, butter naan, chicken curry and lamb vindaloo. Everything was so flavorful and felt like it was made with love. The portions were great, the quality of food I would rate 10/10 but I want to point out the customer service. Our waiter was helpful, smiled, and was attentive. Just go!

*finally adding photos! Since our first time we have gone here so many times. Thank you again for great service and great food!*

This place was amazing!! My wife and I both ordered the butter chicken. The service was great and the food tasted amazing I’ve been to India and lived in Asia. I can definitely say this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to! The server was very attentive and friendly! 10 out of 10 would go there again!

The Best Indian food in Jacksonville! I’ve never experienced any disappointment and it truly doesn’t get more authentic than this establishment. I’ve dined in and taken advantage of their pick-up service, and they’ve consistently delivered accurate orders with excellent packaging. This venue has exceeded our expectations to the point where we’ve found ourselves longing for another visit.

Had been wanting to give this place a try for some time, and finally did! Overall was a good experience and food was very good and large portions, so we have plenty of leftovers. We tried the Chili Chicken appetizer, chicken curry, lamb curry and butter naan. All items were delicious. Ambiance is lacking a bit and would like to live closer to get by to get takeout. Service was great and a good balance between being attentive and ready to serve, without being intrusive and overwhelming. Will definitely keep this one in mind!
