This is a unique restaurant that serves the world’s worst quality food. Not just the most awful indian food, but the worst among all. I’m the kind of reviewer who writes reviews to support business by leaving positive reviews even if they are above average. But this restaurant made me retrospect what I have been doing! I ordered food from my hotel room, and specifically requested on Uber eats that I need 2 paper plates and 2 spoons. The restaurant sent us just 1 spoon. We ended up eating with hands in paper cups that were provided for having coffee in the hotel room. But we still did not complain. Until I tasted their food. We ordered roasted chicken (awful taste), chicken curry (i would rate 2/5), rice (Saffron & regular) which was a complete nightmare. I bet people in the most poverty striken part of world would consume a better quality of rice than this restaurant. I am amazed how this restaurant is in business and would urge the owner to please taste the food. Take some for your family. So you realize how bad it is. Requesting the owner to switch to any other business like lumber, gas pump, etc. but a restaurant. I just wanted to have a decent meal at this hour as I was already half asleep. But your food is so disgusting that im completely awake now, so much that I’m writing an essay for you! Paid 91 dollars for 2 people and you sent us pure garbage! If you are the last restaurant on this planet that serves food, I would rather starve myself to death!

I really hate to leave bad reviews, but the service was bad. Went there to smoke hookah and we were just horrible 40 bucks waste of money. I hope their food is good. We never got to try it, but we had a really bad experience.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT : Monterey’s BEST hidden gem. Recently changed management and now under the name – ABHA Indian cuisine and Hookah Lounge. The ambience is GREAT with multiple fire pits dotted across the venue. Gentry is diverse and low key. We have been visiting this venue for years and never really went for the food – mostly for the ambience and drinks. Music is loungy and good. We ordered chicken wings and barbeque prawns (which were both outstanding). Service by Priya was over the top. The new folks went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The only place in the Monterey peninsula that serves hookah. All in all 5 stars. A MUST visit for a chill evening in Monetery with or without friends.

This place I had a great atmosphere! The food is pretty good too. The servers are all super sweet and it’s a great place to just go and hang out. 4 stars because the hookah was a little weak but I’ll come back and try this place again.

I was here for New Years! It’s the the only Hookah place that serves alcoholic drinks! The staff are great. Very professional! It’s a great locals hangout! And for the New! The food looks great and you can eat until 12am or even longer! They really take care of you here!
