This place blew us away, will definitely be coming back. My folks live in the area and I’m going to visit them more often so I can come eat at this restaurant. I’ve lived in LA and NYC and this is the best Indian food I’ve had. I’m so excited this place is open in Scottsville.
Start the Gobi Pakora and a samosa, but make sure to try their palak paneer and chicken makhani. The masala chai is SO RICH AND DELICIOUS. Don’t miss out, this place absolutely rocks.
The server was incredibly welcoming and attentive. Absolutely love the family style serving too. Everyone can try a bit of everything (you’re gonna want to try everything).

Wow. I am visiting from out of town to my cousin who lives in Rochester and she told me there was a new Indian place since I last visited that I HAD to try. I absolutely loved it. I had my first Masala Chai and it was amazing. We shared Lamb Tikka Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Saag – along with ample Garlic Naan, of course. I already set up a date to go again next time I am back, along with more family! Absolutely check this place out!

Absolutely amazing food! The flavors are so good and the size portion was great. We split the combo platter (I forget the name) and it was so filling. I feel like this is the best Indian food in Rochester. It’s a hidden spot so I hope more people hear about it so it can stay open. The only thing I would change is that the dessert said “homemade ice cream” but it came in a package and was not homemade. Still good though. 10/10 recommend going there!

Oh my goodness. If you live anywhere in the Rochester area, this is worth the drive. This is our second time here, and it did not disappoint. On our first visit we got the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Makhani, Malai Kofta, Mango Lassi, masala chai, and Garlic naan. Today we added Sabji Chicken Korma, Saag Chicken, and the Mango Juice. Everything has been incredible. We will be coming regularly. Everything we had was a very flavorful mild as requested, so if you are looking for spicy (hot), I cannot speak to that. However, with how well spiced the dishes have been, I cannot speak only imagine they would do very well with the heat level as well. As you can see in the picture I actually ordered a second masala chai tonight because the first one just warmed my soul. You can easily split one entree (about $20) if you are looking to keep cost down, or get a variety and enjoy leftovers. Each drink or “bread” you have will add about $5… I cannot miss out on naan with my Indian food. There’s nothing better than dipping naan straight into the sauce in the bowl.
The waitress was also super super sweet.
Still hoping for a Tuesday night buffet so we can make this our regular date night spot and get to try more dishes! (Pretty please?! )

Indian Palace Restaurant is such a nice spot. The mushroom lentil soup was full of taste, the garlic naan soft and warm, and the tandoori mix grill cooked to perfection. The team is welcoming and kind. I hope this restaurant continues to grow and that more people discover it.

Rochester newest best kept secret!!!
I have been here twice. Both times have been absolutely excellent.
The ladies who served were the pinnacle of kindness and hospitality. They were helpful and answered.
The restaurant atmosphere was warm and inviting.
The food was of superb quality. I have had the sabji chicken korma, the chicken tikka masala, and Saag chicken. My favorite was the tikka masala. However, would wholeheartedly recommend all three dishes. The flavors were a delicious adventure for my mouth.
The masala Chai drink was a great appetizer as well as great finisher.
If you love Indian food or love rich flavors this is the place for you.

This was my first time ordering from Indian Palace! The wait took a little bit longer than usual but boy, was it worth it. Honestly, one of the best Indian restaurants in Rochester! The food was made fresh and hot. The flavor was out of this world. I ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi and Aloo Gobi. My partner ordered Chicken Chili (caution, this is is SPICY) and we shared the Tandoor Roti. We look forward to ordering from Indian Palace again soon! 10/10!

I came in tonight with a total of 7 people for dinner and everything was fantastic. Most of us had not tried Indian food before and there wasn’t a thing on the table that we would not have again. Everything was freshly made and delicious. The food was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. The quality was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

I have not yet dined in at this restaurant, but we have had takeout from there several times. We’ve had Indian food from various Rochester area places and while most of them are fantastic, the best part about this place has been the quality and consistency. We are so lucky to have this gem here! The food is always 10/10 good, always on time, and everyone is very kind. Highly recommend trying.

I went with a friend and we ordered 1 non veg combo and 1 veg combo. We requested a swap of one non veg dish with a veg one, and they readily accepted it, which was very nice. The food quantity was very generous. The naan (roti/bread) was very soft and fluffy. The vegetables were well done and the spices were balanced. Overall taste was fair. Even though I had ordered a medium spice level but for my taste the medium was fairly mild. The samosa and pakoras was a nice addition to the combo plate. However, dessert was not included (which a typical Indian thali does). The ambience was great. Would visit again to try some Nepalese dishes.
