We have a favorite Indian restaurant in the West suburbs, but I think this is our new favorite one in St. Paul!
Every dish was surprisingly delicious and flavorful. Between four of us, we had dal makhani, chana masala, baingan bartha, and shrimp makhani—and had some leftovers to bring back. We didn’t get and drinks this time, but they had a nice selection.
The staff was really nice and patient as we talked rather than decided what to order. The only thing that we didn’t love was how thin and crispy the plain naan was, but it still tasted good.
It was my husband’s birthday, and they brought us some free mango ice cream at the end. Yum! Can’t wait to go back or pick it up to go!

Indian Kitchen is one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to in the Twin Cities. We stopped here on a whim, out for a drive and thinking maybe we would try somewhere new. We noticed that Indian Kitchen was open and stopped in, intrigued and ready for anything.
Staff were polite, greeting us kindly and quickly seating us in a nice, clean booth. The menu is extensive! When we finally made our decisions, the orders came quickly and were absolutely delicious, every bite. We enjoyed the appetizers greatly, the sampler platter offering a variety of tastes and textures. The main dishes were filling, and we ended up bringing a good deal home to eat the next day.
We have since ordered several orders to go and found the quality to be consistent.
Definitely stop by for the amazing good and atmosphere!

Picked up a to go order, didn’t love the default tip at 20% for take out… when I arrived, no one was at the front and a waiter and waitress were just chatting outside the kitchen but didn’t bother to come over. After a few minutes a gentleman came over and handed me my order that had been sitting there. I had the beef and mushrooms, didn’t look at all like the picture on the menu and came with rice which I wasn’t expecting. I ordered it as a mild and thought it was ok. Perhaps a better experience for dine in….

Food is consistently excellent and they have some dishes you don’t often see at Indian restaurants here – the Amritsari Chole Kulche in the street foods sections is excellent – richly flavored chickpeas come with a buttered, spice bread and pickles. My usual go-to is Bainghan bharta and theirs is excellent. Would drink the green chutney by the gallon. Very nice staff and my order is always accurate. If you like spicy, order it a level hotter than you think. I’m thrilled to have this place in the neighborhood!

Easily the best Indian food I have had in the twin cities. Fresh, authentic and delicious. Great value. Had the tandoori dinner for two – not pictured: appetizer also.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing every dish was full of authentic Indian flavors. We tried the Chicken Naan, Paneer Naan, Garlic Naan, and Paneer Tikka Masala, and each one was perfectly cooked and delicious.
The staff was incredibly welcoming, especially Nishanth, who made our dining experience even better with his friendly service and attention to detail.
If you’re looking for great Indian cuisine nearby, I’d definitely recommend this place

Dal that isn’t gross and chunky, spice level the way I wanted it, and they actually checked to make sure my vegetarian dish was gluten free (it wasn’t, I had to order something else), and everything was super delicious and quick. I hate eating in the middle of a ton of people, so they let me eat in the bar area with no complaints and no hesitation.

I truly enjoyed India Kitchen, minus the Bar, we were told the liquor license is not in place, yet. My Chicken Shahi Korma, was delicious, possibly better than my other favorite, India Palace in Roseville. They were PACKED, so the service was a bit slow, but the delicious food made up for it. We will definitely visit again!

6 stars! Flavors were great, textures were spot on, and everything was clearly homemade as we could taste fresh ingredients! We will definitely return for additional visits! I am Midwestern and my wife is Indian– we enjoy both home-cooked and restaurant Indian food. We were very impressed by the quality of this restaurant– our compliments to the chef and kitchen team!

The butter chicken was good, but the beef vindaloo was not flavorful enough. I appreciated that basmati rice comes with each entree order. The garlic naan was perfect. It took a bit for the server to seat us as they prioritized takeout orders first, but once seated, service was good. I appreciated the parking lot option.
