Despite we called and asked if they will have Dosa.
We drove 20 miles from the Gulfport.
But waiter told us we don’t have the south menu. We make only when we are very slow.
The service was not good and the staff didn’t care or not properly trained.
It took them long time to bring the food and wrong food three times.
The prices are extremely high.
The meals are prepared and served without testing by someone in kitchen.
We ordered the Manchurian was extremely slaty and Baiganbharata curry was very sour and overly tomato sauce.
Since, Americans don’t know the Indian food and taste will put anything in their mouth.
We know well our food and how food is prepared.
The true test makes all difference.
We enjoyed the delicious food at the I-10 Dhaba and Curry Pizza in Gulfport.
The ambiance is amazing and the custom made sankheda black n gold chairs are comfortable.
That said, the food made up for it: the mango lassi was excellent, the veg manchuria had great flavor, and the chicken curry/fry was delicious. The paneer dish (Shahi Paneer/Butter Paneer) was rich and comforting, especially with the onion kulcha. The highlight was the mutton biryani — generous pieces and really tasty.
Overall, a very good experience — worth visiting if you’re around the Mississippi Gulf Coast and craving authentic Indian food. We’d happily come back!
