This is our go-to take out for Indian food in the area. The food is so good and our whole family loves is. My kids ask for the chicken tikka masala and the breads all the time! Small family run restaurant so give them plenty of time to prepare your order. It’s worth the wait for how delicious the food is!

FAKE PHOTO! Completely false advertising! My boyfriend and I walked in and walked right out lol! I purchased their Groupon today excited to try a new spot. The photo was gorgeous- Huge, spacious & pretty restaurant. We drove from 30 minutes away. When we arrived we were very confused to say the least. We walked in to a tiny, smelly hole in the wall absolute dump. They used a photo of a different restaurant to lure in new customers! The owner came out ready to seat us, and I asked why the photo was of a different restaurant. He said “I don’t know, Groupon choses the pictures”- obviously a lie. I now checked Google, and he also uses that fake photo on Google as well. I guess Google chooses the photos as well! lol. Don’t go unless you want to eat in a dump and support a false advertiser.

India Raj is our favorite restaurant. We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 12 years. The food has always been consistently delicious. The owner and staff are extremely respectful and kind. We highly highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved the food! The chicken naan roll was my absolute favorite. And those tandoori dishes? They were seriously delicious, smoky and sizzling!

Quiet so can’t blame the restaurant for atmosphere.
The korai, isn’t normally seen on American menus and was spectacular. Rich, flavorful and spicy.
Stopped in again tonight and the lamb Rogan Josh was one of the best I’ve had. Super tender, rich and dense. The chapati was maybe one of the best I’ve had. There’s a lot of pretend chapati out there. This was legit.
The girl working there is super nice and friendly. They care about their food, you can tell.
Even though it was quiet for dining in, there was a steady stream of to go orders, which is good. As a place this good deserves to have a regular clientele.

Great established Indian restaurant in Monroe. I wish I knew about this place sooner. They are tucked back in the plaza. The food was great authentic Indian and emphasis on the spicey. We just did take out but the atmosphere was very nice and they were really quick. We had the samosa, naan, and korai chicken. Definitely going back for more.

Our first experience was dining in on a Saturday night. The food was good and the service was excellent. Naan and the long list of dishes provided plenty of choice. I ordered medium heat and it was a bit too spicy for me, so next time I will order milder. If you like spicy they can provide!
Unfortunately they don’t appear to have a beer/wine or Liquor license. The restaurant was empty except for us which surprised me, The atmosphere is dated, especially in the booth we were seated, which may explain why. We did see a number of take out orders picking up. My suggestion to owners is to update the inside a bit and perhaps you will gain more dine-in customers.

India Raj is hands down the best quality Indian food I’ve had. My daughter is a vegetarian and after trying the Calcutta vegetable roll, she begged to come back! Every dish we’ve had there, vegetarian and non-vegetarian has been excellent.

The spices are bold, and the naan steals the show. The curries hit all the right notes, though the decor feels more ‘takeout chic’ than fine dining. Service is friendly but not speedy—worth the wait if you’re craving a flavorful feast!
