We came here for lunch with a group of five and everything was great. We ordered Paneer Korma, Chicken Saag, Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Honey Lamb — all the dishes were full of flavor and really well cooked.
Each entrée came with noodles, which was a nice bonus. We also tried the Spinach Paratha, Cheese Paratha, and Onion Naan — fresh, warm, and very tasty.
Our server, Giridhar, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The chef even stopped by our table to check if we liked the food. To top it off, they surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake at the end, which was such a nice touch.
Great food, great service, and very welcoming staff. Highly recommend this place!

Ordered Pani Puri and Tea. The tea was cold and tasted terrible — it had too much water and hardly any tea powder or milk flavor. Honestly, homemade tea is far better than this. Total waste of money.
The Pani Puri was equally disappointing. The dipping water was just tamarind water with a bit of masala, and the curry was nothing more than plain aloo fry. No proper flavor or freshness.
Overall, very poor quality and not worth trying again.

Ordered a lot of food. And it was delicious. Seemed authentic and flavorful. Mango juice was super good

The service was excellent. The guy who took my to-go order was very kind. The food was okay. Was missing the authentic taste in my opinion. The samosas had full peas in them and only one sauce which was okay. It all lacked seasoning and the authentic flavors I usually look for in Indian food. I just moved here from Portland, OR, and I was excited to try the oldest Indian restaurant in Greenville. Naan bread wasn’t great for $5 a piece. Raw garlic in it and no salt on top or seasonings. One-time try.

I come here on business often. The lady is always very kind and sweet. It always smells delicious in here and has a nice, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I’ve had lots of homemade and catered Indian food in the past and never really liked it because it always was very spicy or over seasoned. The kind lady in here gave me a to-go box this time with chicken masala and Indian rice. I was hesitant to try but it was the best Indian food I have ever had! It was flavorful without being overpowering and had a very mild spicy kick to it. The chicken was perfectly cooked, nice and tender. I will be coming back and urging my friends to come with me!!!

Use to love this place, unfortunately it has gone down hill!!! Went in for the lunch buffet, was sat and placed our drink order! Server was a male second time now with him and same awful attitude acts as if he doesn’t want to be there. Placed our order, got our Thali order for the BUFFET and never saw our server again, last interaction we had was them dropping a check off and walking off, paid for a buffet and was never given the option to get more food, my wife’s saag paneer in her vegetable thali didn’t even have paneer in it, it was just the creamed spinach, hardly any meat in any of my curry’s, a place I use to love to go is now a place I will no longer visit, had one bad experience followed by an even worse! Lots of Indian in Greenville, try somewhere else!!!

Second time I received my order like this now. Salty and swimming in oil. Definitely recommended going elsewhere now for the butter chicken. Sad that it’s so far from the delicious food I’ve had there in the past.

India Palace has consistently delivered terrific food with bold, flavorful dishes. While the wine selection can be inconsistent—often because certain menu items are out of stock—the staff has always done a great job recommending comparable alternatives. I wouldn’t normally enjoy a chilled Cabernet, but here it actually works beautifully, complementing the spice and depth of the Indian cuisine.
Service has always been solid, but this visit truly stood out. Our server, G, was phenomenal. He seems to be part of the family or the next generation involved in the business, and it really shows in his dedication and pride. He went above and beyond to elevate our experience, making this the best service we’ve ever had at India Palace. We’ll definitely be asking for him every time we dine there going forward.

My dad has been coming here for 20+ years and has taken me here throughout those years. When I say this is my happy place…that would be an understatement! This family obviously puts love and devotion into this place and it shows…with their service and especially their food! Please go and support this place so they can stay open for many more years to come!!
