My favorite restaurant in the whole world. I won’t go to another Indian restaurant unless I’m out of the state and I’m forced to. The owner Mama is the sweetest host and all the food is perfect. I can’t imagine anyone having a bad time here and if you do there’s probably something wrong with you. 100000/10 recommend to a friend. My boyfriend and I love the Garlic cheese naan.

Indian Place, such care and time spent for the atmosphere. We do feel that the food was a great amount of heat and kick to it. Not to the point that we would cry, which I would guess could have been done. Such a great taste with the vibrant colors and the wonderful texture for the co.plete meal. The prices are extremely reasonable and the quantities are appropriate too.
Some dishes take a while to come out, but you can understand immediately that they are freshly prepared. It’s usually a red flag if you order a dish at a restaurant and it’s sitting in front of you in less than 10 minutes.
Good things come to those who wait.
The negative reviews are honestly shocking and so disappointing to me- the food is good.

Stopped in to get an early (5pm) vegetarian meal, and got way more. I started with the veggie samosa, which were great. I moved on to the Gobi Makhani (spicy), and was not disappointed. I also ordered the lemon chutney, which was fresh. It was bright and a little sour, and I loved it. I then asked for mango chutney to try and it was smooth and sweet. I was really impressed with the food, and the stories about how they use traditional family recipes. If you like Indian food, and are in Cookeville, you should eat here! I’m impressed, and I’m glad to share my experience with everyone!

The owner is a very sweet lady and she loves talking to customers. We did feel like we had to get things she was recommending which made us a little uncomfortable with the pushiness and ended up spending more than we wanted. Again, she was very sweet but since we were the only customers at the time, she would talk to us the whole time when we just wanted to eat and relax. The food itself was not the best, some things were okay but because we were the only ones there, the food wasn’t as fresh and it lacked flavor.

Horrifying experience! All was well, until I went to the restroom and found a cockroach. Safe to say I lost my appetite! I notified the woman serving us and she got very hostile. I offed to pay for our drinks and what we did eat but i was not paying for the untouched food. We payed and she proceeded to follow us out to our car and scream at us.
