in Portland you generally had to go to the west side of the metro to get good Indian food because that’s where Intel is located and has a large population of Indian engineers so naturally there’s a good selection of really high-quality Indian restaurants but now you can go to Indian Oven on the east side. The food is just spectacular not just the taste the visual presentation also, when you get it at your table you just can’t wait to dig in. They got a great selection of Curry’s, Tandoori, chutneys, it’s just great food. and great service highly recommended will be regular customers

We ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats and thought it would be really good since it’s been on Belmont for years. It was so bland, like nothing had salt in it. I got Chicken Makani, Aloo Gobi, Aloo Paratha and Garlic Naan and it was all flavorless. And the bread was thick and rubbery. I spent $80 for two people and was very disappointed.

The staff was friendly, the food was good, and the space is decent. However, there was only one person working as a host, server, and cashier, and one person working as the cook. It took 30 minutes to just get our drinks and samosas and another 30 minutes to get the main dishes. They did not even get one of the orders right, but we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes so we just took the wrong order. I am willing to give it another try and see if that was one-off.

We often come to India Oven for dinner but we were on Belmont buying some books and saw they had a lunch special so we decided to try it. YALL ARE SLEEPING ON THIS LUNCH! All of this food cost $12! In this economy? A STEAL! It was so good and I had leftovers to eat for dinner. The food at this place is always so good but this sealed the deal at my fav Indian spot in town. As an added bonus everyone who works here is so friendly and warm. Thank you India Oven

Ive been all over the world and everywhere I go I must try 1 or 2 India Restutants in the local area where ever I am. India Oven is thee number 1 best India Food that I’ve ever had !!!! The flavors are explosive !!!! We got the Onion Bhaji, Dahl Soup, and the Chicken Tiki Mala, Butter Chicken and Gosht Vindaloo. They have an amazing red hot sauce paste so front forget to ask for it. Everything is cooked Gresham from scratch and cooked to order. The owners are such sweet people and the service was very attentive !!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would !!!! Thanks India Ive for such a great experience !!!!

We came and ordered 2 dishes. Chicken kabab and the vindaloo chicken. I also ordered garlic naan because I love naan. Took a bit to get the food but that’s fine because we assumed it was fresh. My friend got his food and it was only chicken and veggies. He did not know that it did not come with rice. Thankfully mine did and we shared. For the chicken vindaloo, it was not even hot. It was warm and with a few chicken pieces and huge pieces of potatoes. The flavor was bland. The worst part was the garlic naan. Just from the look of it I knew it was not good. Bread looked raw and unseasoned. The garlic was still raw and had to scrape it off. Ended up not finishing my food and paid and left. We were the only people in the restaurant, figured we would get better service. I let the waiter know the garlic was not edible. Still paid for it….

It’s my fav Indian food by far. If you don’t live way out west it’s your best on the east side. Delicious
