This is exactly the kind of experience I want! The space is impressively clean, and very cozy/homey. The service was quick, and the hosts were very direct while still being polite. The real star was the food. I ordered the bhindi masala, and I can confidently say it was the best I’ve ever had (one of my go-to orders). My husband also loved his lamb vindaloo. Everything tasted extremely fresh. If you want to have a straightforward and simple experience while having amazing cuisine, this is the place.

We split a chicken something masala. It was excellent. Service was perfect, we will definitely return and recommend to others. If you’re on the fence about Indian food, give this place a try. Order the garlic naan, it is amazing

Delicious! We have ordered from here several times and it has always been delicious! Great portions, prompt service and I’ve never been disappointed in any food I’ve received. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to try Indian food. I’m looking forward to going to the restaurant someday!

I really wanted to like this place, as it was highly recommended by someone we met recently. I am an Indian food connoisseur, and every time I go to a new Indian restaurant I try their Chana Masala. Sadly, this Chana was not great. It was edible, but it was just off and had a sort of artificial/canned taste to it. It was super liquidy and really just tasted like tomatoes and chickpeas with a bit of seasoning, like something I could have made at home if I was attempting to recreate this dish… I went with a few other people and they seemed to enjoy their dishes, but I wouldn’t choose this Indian restaurant again over some of the other ones in the area. Bummer.

I may have written about this restaurant previously, but it’s worth praising them again. Just had a terrific meal here again. This place beats almost all big city Indian cuisine restaurants in California where I am originally from. We really like the Samosa’s for starters, the sauces are out of this world. Our favorites include Chicken Nirvana, Matar Paneer, Chicken Vindaloo, Mixed Tandoori, Lamb Boti, Buttered Nan. The flavors are amazing, and I usually eat too much, LOL. There are other really good dishes we’ve tried, I just cannot remember them right now. If you like Indian food you’ll like India House.

UPDATED REVIEW.
(for some reason the photos didn’t upload in my last review so I’m updating them.)
APR18- I had a great experience when I tried them the first time years ago. I tried two new dishes today, I was not disappointed. They were good. Always good food at this place. They’re never short on flavor. I did forget they send rice so I ended up with so much rice. Oh well, who doesn’t love indian food leftovers!

2years AGO.
I ordered through Doordash and I love every dish. Pakora, a vegetable appetizer was good. The garlic Naan was so yummy. The chicken Korma & Tikka Masala were also very delicious. I wish there were more though, just a tad too small for the price. Lol. The entrees come with free rice so we had too much rice because I also got Chicken Biryani- which was so good.
All in all it was a great experience. I enjoyed every dish and I definitely recommend this place.

India House in Post Falls brought me a taste of Punjab I didn’t expect to find this far from home. From the moment I opened the menu, I knew I was in for something authentic—the welcome note itself set the tone with warmth, history, and pride in the cuisine.

I ordered the vegetarian Punjabi biryani, and every bite was comforting, flavorful, and rich in aroma. Unlike the South Indian style where biryani is often accompanied by fresh onions and a lemon wedge by default, this dish came true to Punjabi roots—with crisp fried onions delicately used in the biryani itself. I asked for the fresh onion and lemon wedge on the side, and the staff brought it out right away, which made the meal complete for my palate. Small touch—but appreciated deeply!

The nimbu pani (lemon water) was a highlight. Fresh, minty, and balanced—it made the whole experience feel like a complete home-style meal.

Service was warm and grounded. My server Sawan (what a poetic name—straight out of Bollywood songs!) made me feel welcome without ever being overbearing.

As a vegetarian traveler, I value a restaurant that not only honors its roots but adapts with warmth—and India House did just that. With thoughtful service, authentic preparation, and respect for preferences, this place is more than just a stop—it’s an experience.

Thank you for saving me a flight to Punjab while offering the same soulful taste, hospitality, and heart.

Highly recommended.

I’m not the biggest connesuier of Indian Cusine, but I can tell you the spices and flavors of both dishes were complex and powerful, making their sauces the star of the show.

I went 3 star spice on my lamb, and it was a good cleansing heat. The house naan was a great complement.

I’m not an expert in Indian food profiles, but I can say the lamb was achewy and dry. Also, so was the rice.

We came in around 7 pm, and they were not busy.

I also enjoyed the atmosphere, The restaurant benefits from a dash of elegance throughout.

I’d like to try the chicken next time if I come back.

ABSOLUTE WASTAGE OF MONEY. Never in my life I had thrown all of the food ordered from a restaurant. We ordered 10+ different items from this restaurant, both veg and non-veg, and none of them was edible. Dry, tasteless and bland food prepared by the chef who does not know how to cook Indian food and to present it. Please DO NOT ORDER from this place, you will regret it. Never ordering from this place. I wish I could give them negative rating.

We had a very good meal here; we got a spice level 2 (out of 5) in our curry, and it was delicious. We enjoyed our meal from our appetizer to dessert. We’ll be back for sure! Prices were reasonable. Clean, nice atmosphere and great service.
