(for some reason the photos didn’t upload in my last review so I’m updating them.)
APR18- I had a great experience when I tried them the first time years ago. I tried two new dishes today, I was not disappointed. They were good. Always good food at this place. They’re never short on flavor. I did forget they send rice so I ended up with so much rice. Oh well, who doesn’t love indian food leftovers!
2years AGO.
I ordered through Doordash and I love every dish. Pakora, a vegetable appetizer was good. The garlic Naan was so yummy. The chicken Korma & Tikka Masala were also very delicious. I wish there were more though, just a tad too small for the price. Lol. The entrees come with free rice so we had too much rice because I also got Chicken Biryani- which was so good.
All in all it was a great experience. I enjoyed every dish and I definitely recommend this place.
I ordered the vegetarian Punjabi biryani, and every bite was comforting, flavorful, and rich in aroma. Unlike the South Indian style where biryani is often accompanied by fresh onions and a lemon wedge by default, this dish came true to Punjabi roots—with crisp fried onions delicately used in the biryani itself. I asked for the fresh onion and lemon wedge on the side, and the staff brought it out right away, which made the meal complete for my palate. Small touch—but appreciated deeply!
The nimbu pani (lemon water) was a highlight. Fresh, minty, and balanced—it made the whole experience feel like a complete home-style meal.
Service was warm and grounded. My server Sawan (what a poetic name—straight out of Bollywood songs!) made me feel welcome without ever being overbearing.
As a vegetarian traveler, I value a restaurant that not only honors its roots but adapts with warmth—and India House did just that. With thoughtful service, authentic preparation, and respect for preferences, this place is more than just a stop—it’s an experience.
Thank you for saving me a flight to Punjab while offering the same soulful taste, hospitality, and heart.
Highly recommended.
I went 3 star spice on my lamb, and it was a good cleansing heat. The house naan was a great complement.
I’m not an expert in Indian food profiles, but I can say the lamb was achewy and dry. Also, so was the rice.
We came in around 7 pm, and they were not busy.
I also enjoyed the atmosphere, The restaurant benefits from a dash of elegance throughout.
I’d like to try the chicken next time if I come back.
