What an amazing local find in Rapid City. Over 38 exceptional beers on tap, and some of the best pizza I’ve ever tried. The Bob’s Popper pizza combines cheese, bacon, cream cheese, fresh jalapenos, and raspberry preserves for of the most unlikely – but fantastically delicious – pizza combinations imaginable. Super cool staff, very knowledgeable about local and regional beer, and an eclectic vibe make Independent a must try while in the area.

Incredible beer selection from craft beer to domestic. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the food is great and quick. I should also note they pour an incredible Guinness as well. Definitely a stop every time I’m in Rapid.

We had an early dinner on a Thursday evening. The location is great, with many shops and other businesses nearby. Parking was not bad. It was not busy and we seated ourselves in the front window. Johanna (not sure of spelling) did a great job waiting on us. We shared the American with pepperoni and a salad with ranch. The pizza was delicious. Very cheesy and flavorful, and great crust. The salad was perfect too. We are visiting Rapid City and plan to go back again before we leave.

I planned to get a pizza to go, but the atmosphere was so inviting I had to sit at the bar for a while first! Friendly staff and a wide selection of beers on draft. Pizza was amazing as well! Will definitely stop by again when I come through town.

What an excellent bar. It’s got a great selection of beers on draught and in bottles. No idea how many but a lot. I tried a few local IPAs and wasn’t disappointed. The craft sodas were pretty cool too.
The food was a surprise, we ordered pizzas and a salad. The salad was a great mix of veg with a dressing on the side. But the pizzas stole the show. The 5-0 was a Hawaiian with a twist a good hit of spice, the taco was tortillas chips crumbled over the top and the carnivore was a good meaty pizza. The base was really light, crisp and full of flavour. We had a great meal the location is pretty handy, with loads of parking on the local streets. Highly recommended.

Stopped for a cold brew and was warmly welcomed by bartender.
She knows her brews and wines! She suggested the Sawyer Brewing Blood Orange Blonde , which really quenched our thirst!
