Social Profile:

The name INATTESO, which means “unexpected” in Italian, comes from the idea of a pizzeria offering you more than you would normally expect. In addition to our Neapolitan and “della nonna” style pizzas, we provide regional classics, pastas “fatta in casa”, and modern interpretations of Italian cuisine. Inatteso also offers a constantly changing Specials menu, where chef Eric Lind and his team utilize the finest seasonal vegetables, seafood, and meats. Always simple, always fresh.

Compact, modern Italian eatery with a patio serving Neapolitan & pan pizzas & other familiar dishes.

Really good pizza. Very solid crust. The cheese on the margherita was the perfect amount of browned and chewy. The salad either the carro and fennel was tasty. Great patio. the servers were all warm and friendly (even though we had a very vocal 2 year old). Will eat again

Good pizza and food at a slightly pricier given its location. We ordered the Sicilian pizza plain, a whole sheet tray of crisp and soft pizza ($26), romano salad ($15) and a seasonal Mozzarella di buffula ($17).

Despite some very tempting NYC Restaurant Week options, I had a very specific hankering for Neapolitan style pizza yesterday and didn’t want to walk too far during a heat advisory. This place caught my eye (and nearby Sauce & Barrel, which I really liked during my first and only time there, closed earlier this summer), so my chum and I wandered over yesterday.

Absolutely loved it! It’s a hidden gem! My sister lives few blocks away and she wanted us to try this place and we loved it!

This is probably hands down the best pizza and appetizers I have had second to my time in Italy. Great service and phenomenal appetizers, drinks, and food. Thank you for a fantastic meal our first time in New York!

Something casual. Food was good – pizza, starters and some drinks. Very nice staff, attentive. A few families came in while we were there, couples too. Everyone was welcome and created a friendly atmosphere.

The place itself is very cute, loved the food and drinks here. The staff was really sweet at first but our waitress seemed to throw an attitude after we ordered and wasn’t even paying attention to us afterwards. The location is amazing and I love the ambience of this place. Would try to go back for food in the future!
