This is the absolute best sushi I have found in Chesapeake!
Prices are very fair, Restaurant was very clean, and the service was extremely fast- My entrées literally came out within five minutes of me sitting down. My waiter was so kind and respectful.
They have a couple of very unique rolls to offer too.

I recently visited this Japanese restaurant and had a sushi platter that perfectly captured what I look for in a reliable sushi spot: freshness, balance, and thoughtful presentation.
The nigiri selection was the highlight. The fish tasted clean and fresh, with a smooth texture and just the right thickness over lightly seasoned rice. The tuna and yellowtail were especially tender, while the shrimp and eel offered a nice contrast in flavor and texture.
The warm table setting and cozy lighting gave the space a relaxed, neighborhood feel. Service was great too!

My team has been out here for a few months now and a few of us love Sushi. We found this place and we love it. We have been coming here at least once a week since we found it.
The atmosphere is very nice and the people are great! I have never eaten at a more friendly place during my travels. The interactions with the management and staff are always positive and they definitely remember their regulars.
The food is…Amazing. We have had probably about 35 rolls here, the steak Hibachi and the shrimp dinner. The appetizers are great also. You can not go wrong with eating here.
If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be coming here for a visit.

This is the best sushi place in the whole state, and the best customer service I’ve ever had, hands down. My family has ordered online from here for a long time because the food was so tasty, and we finally decided to come in person. All I can say is.. wow. This place is even better in the restaurant and the staff redefines what customer service means. They knew exactly who we were by name as soon as we ordered because they kept track of online orders. They went above and beyond to make our visit and meal great. They are phenomenal and they genuinely care about their customers. Recommend 100 out of 10.

The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with attentive and friendly service. However, I found that the food didn’t meet our expectations. The hibachi dishes are prepared in the back and brought out, so there’s no traditional hibachi grill experience. The steak portion was a bit small, and the vegetables seemed less fresh. The fried rice was quite different from usual, with a very light fry and small pieces of carrot. Additionally, the sushi didn’t taste as fresh as I would have hoped.

Really great sushi restaurant! We sat at the sushi bar and the chef made us a “taster” like the old days! Super fast food – we were starving and it took less than 10 minutes for our first rolls to arrive. Very fresh fish and great service! Can’t ask for much more than that

My first time at Inaka Sushi and it was incredible! I am a foodie and I LOVE sushi! Food was amazing and the customer service was top notch! Every single waitress was friendly and checked on me whether they were my assigned waitress or not. I was greeted when I first walked in. I ordered my food and it came out in no time just as fresh as it could be! I will most definitely be back. Thank you for an incredible dining experience!

Inaka is my new favorite sushi restaurant. It’s a wonderful local restaurant with a kind and caring staff. The food is always great and the place is nice and clean.
It’s located on Kempsville and Volvo, behind the gas station, and across the street from Harris Teeter. The parking lot is a little small, spots can be difficult during peak times. I recommend parking in the safe by the Smoothie place. Watch out for the spots marked 15 minutes.
Inside is cozy. It seems big at first, but it’s still a place you feel comfortable. There is two kinds of soy sauce on the table, regular and low sodium. You always have a napkin, a soy sauce dish, chopsticks, and a small plate.
Their menu has lots of lovely sushi, there is often a specials menu too! There are some noodles, hibachi, and other kitchen dishes if sushi isn’t for you.
I really enjoy the sushi, the rice is nice and small and all the rolls have flavors that go together. They’re accommodating if you want to swap out something or add a sauce. I’ve never had a messy roll here, so expect a tight roll that holds up as you eat it. The fish is fresh and tastes great.
