As a thriller and romance author, this restaurant brings back the fun memories I have from visiting Hawaii while working on my books and picking up story material. I love stopping in at this Hawaiian-style restaurant in Lewiston.
My go-to meal here is the poke bowl. They let you choose classic or spicy, but I always go half-and-half. It keeps the flavor of the fish clean while still giving you a little heat and fun.
The décor and murals are colorful and eye-catching. There’s plenty of seating, including some fixed high-tops where you can sit by the window and watch the world go by. One nice touch is the purse hooks under the tables so your bag never has to hit the floor.
The owner is super nice and has that classic Hawaiian friendliness that makes the place feel warm and welcoming. Will come back here for sure.

Incredible place! Everything we tried was delicious and plentiful. I got the pick 3 plate of kalua pork, butter garlic shrimp, Ahi tuna, and it was all to die for. We shared volcano fries that were soooo good. Im still craving more. My friend got the katsu chicken and loved it. We also (unknowingly) wandered in close to closing and they still took us happily, got our food out fast, and let us stay. 10/10 reccomend, we will be back! (I’d add pictures but my Google is being weird)

Excellent Hawaiian food! We got the Imua Mix Plate with 3 meats. The Kalua Pork was very smoky and one of the best I’ve ever had. The Teriyaki Beef was tender and had just the right amount of teriyaki sauce on it. The Butter Garlic Shrimp was lightly spiced and done just right. We also got an order of Volcano Fries, which had a garlic-herb sauce on them and I quite liked. Recommended.

My daughter has Celiac and this is one out of two places that we are comfortable to go. The owner always reassures that there’s no cross-contamination and everything is gluten free, the extra touch is so welcomed. Not to mention the food is beyond amazing.10/10

The food was really great. The service was super slow. Normally that’s ok except when you’re on lunch break from work. They should be mindful of that if they wish to have a working lunch crowd.

Imua is a fabulous place to eat. Service is spot on. The food is always good. Plenty of seating for the whole family. Beer is served all day if you desire. Very clean place. Very great family friendly atmosphere. Located in beautiful downtown lewiston. It’s close to lots of shopping, and other bars too. Walking distance from many downtown activities.
