This is the worst thai food i have ever had. I ordered their red curry and this is what i got. Taste like nothing. I can just taste cream and thats it. Wanted to support them but never going back again.

One of the best meals that I’ve had out in a while. We ordered a few different items to split and loved them all. I was surprised at the size of the portions and loved that they worked out of an open kitchen.

The Imperial Curry had flavors that I never would have imagined would compliment each other the way that they did, the Pineapple Fried Rice had a nice sweetness that helped cut some of the spice without overpowering the taste of the other ingredients, and the Teriyaki Chicken with Noodles was one of the best teriyaki dishes that I have ever had (so much so that I told my husband that I wished they bottled that sauce).

In addition to amazing food, the owners and staff were extremely pleasant and attentive (even though they were slammed with to go orders the entire time we were there).

Excited to go back and try some dishes that we haven’t tried yet!

I would like to try more of the menu. There was enough satisfaction with my food to at least have that opinion. My wings were not really cooked so great; not horrible, but not well enough for me to order them again. The rice was less than ideal from an execution standpoint, but still enjoyable. I ordered over an hour before closing but it still felt like I was almost intruding when I was placing it.

Wouldn’t recommend, won’t be back. Bill was $70 for 4 things plus $6 tip. I ordered 2 fried rice, drunken noodles, & orange chicken. Tried a couple bites couldn’t force anymore on myself. We usually get shanghai village but thought we’d give this place a try everything was just severely lacking any flavor or effort really.. the rice looks so wet and oily no flavor, same with noodles tofu was slimy unappealing, orange chicken dry lacking flavor/sauce. Definitely not worth the price, could have bought shanghai village twice or dominos twice, bummed we spent so much for such low quality. Won’t happen here again.

Spicy alternative cuisine in the downtown. The menu has all the traditional dishes and compares well with Thai restaurants in far larger cities. A themed but casual decor.

Green curry with tofu was freshly made and exactly as you expect. A brown rice option would have been a plus.Thai Sweet Basil with Chili and Tofu and glass noodles was a good pairing, also first class.

Things were very busy with multiple takeout orders on the Friday night so service was a bit slower. Server was kind and enthusiastic. Our mouths left with a warm sense of well-being! Billings can be proud.

I’m surprised at the positive reviews. Maybe it’s because we ordered vegetarian items, with tofu? We ordered the Pan-Fried Bean Thread Noodle and Pad See Ew Noodle, as take-out. Both were bland. The Pad See Ew had only a few pieces of broccoli.

EDIT: (In response to the owner’s reply) We have eaten vegetarian entrees from at least 20 Thai restaurants over the years. I know that it is completely possible to make flavorful Thai dishes that are completely vegetarian; I have experienced them. It’s not common but it definitely can be done. My review stands, and this interaction might be particularly valuable to other vegetarians.

Nothing fancy but if you want a good meal you can definitely get one here. Well portioned meal sizes / spice, good friendly service and well priced. Warm feeling could be a hang out spot.

I ordered to try the Bangkok Dangerous and I was super disappointed at the spice level! I requested ten and there was maybe a pinch of red pepper. There seems to be a ton of sugar added to the food. I don’t recommend it personally but it might work for less discerning palates.

Imperial Thai inside Kava Roots is an absolute EXPERIENCE. The vibe of the whole establishment was top tier and rivals similar spots in larger city’s.

The food (yellow curry) was so amazing we went two nights in a row. + first time trying Kava, which is a definite adition to my alcohol free escapades ✨️

If i could give more than 5 stars I would. 20/10
