First time eating here and very disappointed.
I spent a substantial amount of money on a Large Special Fried Rice, Special Lo Mein, Spicy Pork (Szechuan), and Chicken Wings. For the prices charged, the portions—especially the protein—were completely unacceptable.
The Special Lo Mein ($12.99) had one piece of pork, one piece of chicken, and two shrimp. That is not a “special” by any standard. The Spicy Pork (Szechuan) had the same issue barely any pork at all.
The rice and wings were flavorful, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of protein, especially when you’re paying premium prices for “special” dishes. It’s very disappointing to see hard-earned money wasted on meals that don’t deliver what’s advertised.
To Imperial Tea: if you want repeat customers, serve fair portions especially of the proteins people are paying for.
For anyone reading this, maybe it’s hit or miss, but I won’t be returning. I won’t donate my hard-earned money to a place that doesn’t give what’s paid for. Fix the problem and serve proper portions.

Service is phenomenal! Food is okay with huge portion sizes. They also have boba!!! Restrooms on site. Was visiting from NYC and taste was “satisfactory” for NYC standards. If you’re craving Asian / Chinese food after a 8 day cruise at Miami this might scratch that itch for you.

Honestly, I hate leaving bad reviews. I’ve been here a while ago, and it was OK, but I came in this afternoon for takeout and had the worst experience. I can only assume that the economy and high rent is getting to them because there was almost no meat in the Szechuan beef (like 5 pieces), and they charged us two dollars extra (per manager’s direction!) for a tiny little container of dumpling sauce. The dumplings were flavorless and dry. Honestly, it sucked. My husband is currently eating cereal instead.

Imperial Tea & Chinese Restaurant is a gem when it comes to enjoying flavorful Chinese cuisine in a clean and inviting setting. From the moment you walk in, the kindness and professionalism of the staff stand out. They are well-educated about the dishes and always ready to help, making the dining experience smooth and pleasant.

One thing to note is that the menu could benefit from including pictures to help patrons better understand the dishes. However, David, our server, made sure we were well-informed, and the food he recommended was marvelous.

For our entree, we ordered the “Crab Wagon,” which was crunchy and paired perfectly with a chili duck sauce that added just the right amount of kick. For our main dishes, we had the “Pad Thai w/ Tofu” and the “Chili Oil w/ Fish” soup. Both were packed with flavor, and the soup had just the right amount of spice to make it exciting but not overwhelming.

To drink, we tried the “Frozen Caramel Oatmilk Latte.” While it was okay, it was a bit watered down and could have used more caramel syrup to really bring out the flavor. That said, the presentation of all the dishes and drinks was on point, adding to the overall experience.

Imperial Tea & Chinese Restaurant is definitely a place to visit for anyone looking to enjoy authentic and flavorful Chinese food in a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for foodies looking to explore new flavors and enjoy a satisfying meal.

Will return

An odd place for a Chinese restaurant: Hooters, Dollar Tree, Pizza Hut … Google maps directed us into Webb Dixie parking lot.

When we finally find it, I was taken back at its appearance: t’s vacant and looks like take out place, or canteen. We went in because we didn’t have time to look.

What a surprise: we liked both dishes: spicy beef 水煮牛 and mapo tofu 麻婆豆腐.

Although they’ve beers in the fridge but they couldn’t serve because their liquor license lapsed. Oh well.

Food deserves 4 star

It was empty when we arrived and was empty when we leave. Hanging there, we’ll come back again.

Went on a weekday late afternoon while shopping. It was empty and we were served right away. We bought a couple different bubble teas and a bottled beverage. I wanted a coffee bubble tea with almond milk. The cashier had to ask if I could get a latte with almond milk but was told no. They suggested a similar beverage with almond milk which I ordered. It was sweeter than anticipated but still enjoyable. I was informed that they have no problem making it less sweet. The store front is hard to see from the street but is located on ground level near the escalators. Free and pay parking available.

This is their “tonkatsu” ramen… the broth is apparently bone broth scallion mushroom and no flavor. No seasoning, maybe they are going for authentic chinese that has no taste ? Also the egg isnt included.

SO GOOD! My friend and I stopped here for a quick bite. It actually ended up being really delicious. The Boba is very, very good. It pops in your mouth. Such a fun experience! I beg you to come here, delicious. And not to mention, the service is very helpful and nice. Especially Alex, he was kind and considerate. Great place.

I’m giving a three star to encourage better cooking. The pork is dry. The mapo dofu has nothing to do with mapo dofu although the tofu is fresh. The green tea is very sweet. I’m sure some people have no issue with it since they are into a certain version of Chinese food. Of course, this is Miami, not New York, New Jersey or CA but it doesn’t mean whoever is cooking the food shouldn’t study how the food should be made and perfect their cooking skills.

Green tea with sugar… I’m not sure how it works…
