While traveling in Louisville, we decided we had to try Louisville style pizza, of course. The recommendation from Google and Yelp was Impellizzeri’s hands down, so off we went!
We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available.
Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it’s very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio.
Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. I think ours took about 25 min.

Amazing food! The pizza and stuffed mushrooms were so delicious! The atmosphere was beautiful and fun. The service was so great Tyler was so awesome and fun! I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

Ate at this restaurant for the first time. We had the Sampler Pizza and replaced the Italian sausage for the homemade meatballs. Also had the stuffed mushrooms and jumbo wings. Everything was delicious. Jeffrey was a great server, attentive and courteous. Recommend this restaurant to everyone because it’s family friendly.

My first time at Impellizzer’s Pizza and I will be back. I ordered the “Deluxe pizza” and it was delicious. There was plenty of sauce, ingredients on this pizza. The tomato sauce seasoning was outstanding. I got the ten-inch size, not realizing the large amount of ingredients on it. Two pieces filled me up and had plenty for taking home. My table occupants shared some cheesy breadsticks and they were delicious. I could make a meal just with the breadsticks. Overall the food, service, and atmosphere was excellent. We had a large group taking up on section of the facility, but our waiter was right on the ball keeping orders and drinks flowing. Our group gather to celebrate the life of our loved one that loved this pizza and we all felt he was there with us in spirit while shared our memories of him.

It was awful, dry and unappealing.
Waited for a terrible order.
I also shared a slice of pizza that was also terrible.
I use to love this establishment but something has changed for the worst.
I want frequent this establishment or recommend it to anyone.
Don’t waste your time or money.
I even tipped the General Manager $20, man I made a horrible mistake…

Wish I caught her name but this was my first time. I loved the vibe and the food was amazing. I had a house salad with the homemade Italian dressing and the sampler pizza . Everything was so very good and reasonably priced for food and a good time.

The family and I now frequent Imp’s(monthly rotation) once a month or so, we fell in love with the cheesy bread!! The meatball’s are delicious as well. We basically get everything besides olives on our pizza and it’s always basically perfect. Staff is super friendly and it’s always a consistent group of people you become familiar with so the place stays solid over time.

I love the feel of this place it’s very homey still. When we got pepperoni pizza I didn’t expect such a monster of a pizza to come out it had two layers and was super cheesy. The crust was delicious and still a little crunchy. I typically go for a New York style, but this was a nice change. The wings were also really good. All the staff was very nice and service was quick. We would definitely come back!
