I feel bad giving this place two stars because the place itself was nice. The service was good, but the food… Our group came from three different countries and continents, and honestly, this food was not for us. None of the dishes tasted even close to what we eat back home. Some dishes were nothing like what we are familiar with, and others were overly complicated and ended up tasting even worse. A dish tasted like frozen food that hadn’t been reheated properly. We didn’t expect anything authentic but this “fusion food” just left us confused. Sorry…

Right next to the White House, across from the Renwick Gallery, this cozy restaurant has an eclectic menu of dishes that reflect representation from many international countries. There are many vegetarian choices. The staff is courteous and helpful. For party of 4 or more, they add 20% service charge AKA gratuity.

Horrible cocktails – ordered a yuzu jalapeño marg and it’s probably the worst cocktail I’ve had in DC at what’s supposed to be a nice restaurant (tasted like boxed pineapple juice, almost no booze and no spicyness). The mocktail was equally disappointing.

Our food was all cold and meh. Nothing special. Ceviche had no lime kick. Bowls were mushy and lacked anything interesting. The tequeños were way too small.

Will not be back unfortunately.

Terrible place, we had high hopes and it disappointed us since the moment we enter the resaturant,
Host is very rude, water tastes horrible, drinks are expensive and they taste as carton juice probably it is, we also ordered agua de Jamaica which it was fermented like a very cheap kombucha. Food is awful, we ordered poke bowl and the salmon didn’t taste fresh, I wonder if they passed the food sanitation inspection. Never coming back.

We went in for late lunch… the place was occupied we got our tables.. we ordered the Greek wings and Heritage bowl… Greek wings were very Good!!! But Heritage Bowl was very average they mentioned it had chicken chickpeas pineapple and plantain but hardly found 3 small pieces of chicken it mostly had plantains and spinach as fillers.. couldn’t taste much except plantain…!! Would not recommend Heritage Bowl… but recommend the Greek wings it was Citrusy and felt refreshing..

Immigrant Food at The White House offers a captivating culinary journey with its diverse fusion flavors if you are near white house area and hungry. The food boasts a harmonious blend of different cultures, presented with freshness and satisfactory portion sizes. The attentive service ensures a seamless dining experience, although friendliness is merely satisfactory. The cozy ambience caters to various preferences, allowing diners to choose between indoor, outdoor, or upper-story seating. Cleanliness is well-maintained throughout the establishment. Priced reasonably ($$), the restaurant provides good value for the quality of food and overall experience. The extensive menu offers options from almost all continents, including ample choices for vegetarians. Beverage selection and wait time for seating and food are impressive. While parking availability might rely on street luck, Immigrant Food compensates with its inviting atmosphere and culinary variety, though limited facilities for families or children are noted.

I ordered the Viet Vibes and it was delicious. You must like a spicy zing and peanut flavor. It’s not the Vietnamese flavor you’re used to. It’s a twist on to it. The chicken is well seasoned and tender and moist. I also tried their new Paloma and Sunset Fizz menu. Sunset Fizz was my preference
