Imbi Restaurant is located in a small strip mall on the south side. It’s not super large, but clean and very friendly staff. Food was delicious.

Adorable little hole in wall place. Staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious. Good prices too! Pad thai and and the singapore noodle meal are absolutely worth it. We’ll come back to try more!

I ordered on Doordash and my food arrived hot which was exciting! To start off, the spring rolls were delicious!! Maybe the best I’ve ever had!

The Kaoy Teow with chicken was bland. It came with a small side of chili soy sauce but it was way too hot for me so I just added regular soy sauce. That made it better, but it was still lacking flavor. It looked different than the photo as well. I was expecting bigger chunks of chicken and more veggies. Also, the dumplings had an odd taste to them that I couldn’t place. Overall, I think this place is worth another try. I definitely recommend the spring rolls though!

Editing to add:
I ordered from here again today and was really disappointed. I ordered the Malaysian coconut fried rice with shrimp and the spring rolls again (since they were so delish last time!) The coconut fried rice has NO coconut flavor at all! No flavor in general honestly. So sad because I was really looking forward to it. There were only 5 shrimp with the tail on in the dish as well. The portion of rice was huge, it just didn’t taste like much. The Spring rolls were also disappointing today because they were cold inside still. They must not have fried them long enough. I don’t think I will give this place another shot honestly.

You will not find better vegetable dishes anywhere in Indianapolis. You must order the choy sum and basil eggplant. Portions are huge and the prices are so so cheap. Some of the best food I’ve had in years, you’ve made a fan for life.

I’m always looking for good Thai / Malay restaurants and Imbi looked to fit the bill. It did. Nasi Lemak offered a number of subtle flavors. Singapore noodles were a flavor bomb. And the basil eggplant salad was a mix of earthy and umami. Large portions. Service was lovely!

Place reminds me of most small non chain restaurant or street stalls along the road in south east Asia where most people eat because the food was just great. Owner was really nice, greeted us and introduced himself as we did the same. We ordered Goat curry which was spot on. Served with just plain rice and chili soy mix it hit the spot. Fried rice with chicken is also one of the common street food found in Southeast Asian countries. Many variations but they’re just so good. We definitely will be back to IMBI. For the food!

We ordered seven different dishes and every single one was phenomenal! I highly recommend the crispy pork—it was a must try! The kangkung (we know it as ong choy) was also very good. They served a coconut rice with a lunch special, and it was a flavor I’ve never had before! The Burmese sweet tea had a really hearty milk flavor that paired well with the saltier dishes. Their samosas caught me by surprise, and their jasmine tea was free and flavorful! This is the best restaurant in Greenwood!
