It’s only my second time in, as I’m new to Wheat Ridge, but this is my new favorite bar. The view of Crown Hill Park is fabulous, and Reed is an incredible bartender who makes a mean margarita for Happy Hour (3pm – 8pm daily)!
He had a fun reaction to my requested combo of 1:1 can of pineapple to watermelon High Noon, but it is an excellent flavor profile! Come say hi to your friendly neighborhood tender who gifts a great smile and stellar service!!

Top experience!! Excellent staff! Cassie and Adam were on the top of their game today on the front line and the staff on the back line made amazingly satisfying food! I wish I knew their names to mention them. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. The patio is dog friendly, so we were able to enjoy our meals with our golden retrievers! Now the food, WOW!! Especially for the price, the amount of food we got was very generous! My wife tried so hard to finish her smothered pork burrito in one sitting, but was unsuccessful. She said she wished she could’ve kept eating it forever! My tri-tip steak nachos were magnificent! The green chili peppers were a great addition!

This place has the absolute BEST STEAK BURRITO I’ve ever had in my LIFE!! I’m not even kidding.. I’d never been here before until today and when I ordered this colossal burrito .. it was so BIG, it broke.. and I had to ask for an extra tortilla wrap! THAT’S A ‘GREAT’ PROBLEM TO HAVE!

Like many other locations, Illegal Pete’s has a great vibe. They have excellent service, it’s a place that you want to stay and hang out longer than you should.
I come here often, and I constantly mix it up. I’m always very pleased with the food and the service. My go-to is a Barbacoa burrito with all the fixings I can get. White rice, black beans, pico, corn, salsa, queso, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. So good.
I have to add that the queso is my all-time favorite.

10 out of 10, atmosphere is great, beautiful views of Sloans Lake. Garage door bar open to patio seating, Colorado’s own burritos and the best margaritas in town. Shouts out to my guys Gavin and Dylan for helping me out with a catering quote for my wedding. Adam bringing that energy behind the glass.

I loved my tacos at Illegal Pete’s last weekend, it’s probably the best location too with crown hill across the street and a really nive patio. Not to mention a ton of other good spots near by for icecream and coffee.

This place is great! And if you’re not in the mood for alcohol but want to watch playoff hockey, the bartenders are just as welcoming as anyone could be! They also have an amazing outside area, which you can sit at and also have a stellar view of your sports teams! All the people on the line are super friendly, there is a wave of genuine inclusivity beaming out of this place! Better than the old Boulder location and the downtown Denver locations! Honestly my favorite Ill Pete’s location!

This is by far the best Illegal Pete’s location specifically because of the staff. Hailey and Dylan do an EXCELLENT job holding it down, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Reed, Matias, Jack, Devon, Kayla, Helena and Mandy ALL go above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I’ve never been on a first name basis with so many employees at a restaurant and it’s because of them, the food quality and the value that keeps me coming back multiple times per week.

Okay, this is Illegal Pete’s so it’s ALREADY great! But people who work here, especially Adam and Helena, make this exact spot even better. Had Meow Wolf (!) edition of a vegetarian burrito (a colorful quesadilla) and it was very yum. A variety of indoor seating options with some screens (perfect to watch the Olympics) and outside patio with the mist! Would stop by again when passing by.

Had a long day and was super spacey at checkout. Forgot to order chips and when I mentioned it to the cashier she handed me a bag with a wink and sent me on my way. So sweet of her to not have been put out by my mistake. And the food was bangin too!
