This was definitely on my top list for italian food. The young female who took our order was very polite and informative. The young man who Was our waiter and sat us, Was very polite and funny, Talkative, And had a great personality. The manager who came out talked with us for quite some time. Very nice, man, very professional. Now for the food. I ordered a calazon. Perfect! Whatever kind of marinara they use there is great. There’s actually eggplant in it, And honestly for canned eggplant, It was Very good. The only bummer is , they did not have an eggplant parmesan with like a side or plate of spaghetti. That would have been awesome.I love trying to eggplant from All the
Different italian restaurants I go to. All in all everything was five star. The food was not cheap , but it was not expensive. For myself , fiance and child , we paid less than 58.00. Plus around 15.00 in a tip due to how great everything was. Also to mention , we got there at about 9:35PM. They still sat us and did not complain. We did try to hurry. But still, their service did not lack. We will definitely Bay back and we highly recommend this.If you are looking for something italian.

Message to the owners, please get eggplant parmesan added to your menu.

I happened to be in the area and ordered a pepperoni pizza. Everyone was so nice and I got to see my pizza being pulled out of the wood fired oven! Omg! Best pizza ever & with the spicy oil to dip the crust!

We celebrated my nephew’s birthday at Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza in Albuquerque Heights, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a large party of 12 and arrived 15 minutes early, but they seated us promptly.

The ordering process was efficient, with each party ordering separately at the front. Our family of five shared a delicious cheese pizza, salmon salad, and a specialty pizza with Alfredo sauce. The house wine was a great value, but I opted for the more expensive glass at $10, which was well worth it.

Our family in the party also tried the lasagna, salad, panini, and tiramisu from the rest of the family’s orders, and everything was top-notch. We also got complimentary birthday dessert! It was very nice!

What truly made our experience stand out was our server, Grigori. He mentioned it was his first day, but you’d never know. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided exceptional service!

I highly recommend Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza for special family events, date nights, or simply a delicious dinner out. We can’t wait to come back!

We love Il Vicino, a family favorite! If you love ice tea, you will love their mango flavored black tea. This place is great because it isn’t crazy expensive. I really enjoy their beers too. Their pizzas are made to order from the wood burning oven. The staff is super nice too! It’s always a fun treat to eat here.

I come to this sweet spot at least once a week on date night with my son. We order margaritas pizza, Pasta and salad. Food is always consistently great and service is amazing. If you are looking for a brick oven pizza place. This is it. They have sandwiches, salads and other healthy options too. I rated ot 5 star because its has not failed me since I have been consistently there for last 3 years.

The atmosphere is nice, great air conditioning and that was very much appreciated! The service was exceptional, and multiple employees asked how I was doing throughout my time there. You don’t see that a lot these days. It was very nice, and they really made me feel like they were there to serve me. The lasagna was good but not great as the noodles were kind of hard to cut through. The Ceasars salad was a Ceasars salad. Lol
All in all, I will be going back to try something else due to the great service. Also, the meal cost me around $28 for the salad and lasagna not including the tip. It’s a little pricey but not terrible.

We usually go to the one in Nob Hill but thought we tried this one tonight.
The crowd was lively and a vibe. It’s also really pretty inside. The food was good but I think Nob Hill’s better. Service was questionable I’m guessing because it was so busy.
But DNice was awesome and made it better with great customer service towards the end.
Thank you DNice.
We might come back just for you… LoL

I enjoy this place everytime I go. Delicious in restaurant or to-go. The cannolis are top notch, the pizzas are yummy and the canzones/flat bread sandwiches are all good. I enjoy the spicy oil that is on all the tables too. Things taste fresh and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with them in all the times I’ve gone in the last 15 years.

With it being Valentines day, I knew I didn’t want to eat there, so we decided to call in a order to go. When I got there, they guy told me that i didn’t have an order, so I had to drive back home to grab my wifes phone, as I didn’t want to have to wait for them to make everything again. the second time I went, he tried to say, i didn’t tell her my wife ordered a combo (I called it their pizza salad deal, rather than a combo, but its the same thing). The waiter had also put it under josh, instead of my actual name jeff, which I heard my wife clearly state to him. I wish I could tell you that I didn’t have to go back a third time, but that would be a lie. While he had asked if my wife wanted any cheese or oil with her pizza, he forgot to give me that actual pizza. (I admit I should have not just assumed that it was in the bag with the rest of our order. I called when I got home to tell them that i would be back a third time, as they forgot my wifes pizza. This is after over an hour of when we initially placed the order. I asked if her pizza could be remade since it’s sat there for so long, and was told well we keep in a hot box. Anyone that has ever worked in a pizza place know’s what that does to a pizxza after an hour. I asked if it could be remade and was told even though we leave it on a hot box, that they would remake it. However i showed up 5 minutes later, as I live less than a mile away and it was already on the counter waiting for me. By the time i got home the cheese has congealed from sitting in a hot box for over an hour and was un edible. They even had the nerve to ask when I went back to pick up the pizza “are we charging you for this?”. Completely ignoring the fact, that I had already paid for it the previous time i was there. If you ever find yourself sitting around saying to yourself hey il viccino sounds good tonight. Please do yourself a huge favor and just go to mcdonalds.
