IL Pizzaiolo is a great Italian restaurant with many different fantastic dishes. We got the arancini, Caesar salad, and wood fired margherita pizza. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. For a full review check out the link to my blog in my bio!

Good food, the staff were all super friendly and the indoor atmosphere is nice. Food prices were ok to me but drink prices seemed a little high ($15 for a mixed drink). We’ll be back to explore more menu items.

WOW the first Italian restaurant we experienced in the Pittsburgh area that was clean, inviting, and had authentic food. We started with some drinks, their espresso martini is good. I can’t say enough about Sean who was our bartender and server. A huge shoutout to Sean, the nicest person who accommodated my confusing requests.

We’ve been a few times after the post-covid reopening and we have always been impressed. Arancini, zucchini fritters, salads, sea bass, shrimp scampi, eggplant Parm, pizzas – you can’t go wrong. Large portions!

Such an magical experience. They did here is beyond delicious, and consistent each time, but it’s the feeling that you’re at home when dining here that makes it all so very special. I can’t of say how enough good things about how much we enjoyed the food our dinner here to celebrate my wife’s 40 birthday. The staff, especially Kate, treated us so well. Thank you a thank you thank you!!!! We can’t wait to dubs with you again soon.

Awesome wood fired pizza and Italian food. They make all their own pasta as well. Bolognese was exceptional, noodles cooked perfectly. We ended up getting 3 different pizzas, margherita, salsiccia, and montanara. Each distinctively different and delicious. The lasagna with sausage was outstanding. The San marzano tomato sauce was perfect. Even the bread was well made. Would have been nice if the olive oil for the bread had been infused with herbs. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. The restaurant itself looks like nothing special on the outside but beautiful on the inside. Tastefully elegant without going overboard. There is a bar as well as outdoor seating with an outdoor fire place.

The food is good, the atmosphere is great, but it is incredibly slow. Everything from waiting to be seated for our reservation, to getting waited on, to actually getting food is slow. Eating dinner here takes at least 2hrs.

Great food. Loved the wedding soup and salmon entrée. Pizza and grilled vegetables are both excellent. Friendly service.

This establishment features the best of the best ingredients locally sourced fresh and flown in straight from Italy. Truly something here for everyone. Don’t think just of the off the charts delicious woodfire pizza, Il Pizzaiolo is so much more than that. The Antipasto Napoli features a delightful mix of perfectly seasoned and grilled vegetables for the vegan and gluten-free diner. As General Manager Jason B. Grant explained, the buffalo mozzarella, burrata and ricotta are flown in fresh from Italy. I had the pleasure of experiencing the light as a feather, homemade spinach and ricotta stuffed Tortellini in a light cream sauce. These cloud-shaped morsels virtually floated off the plate. And of course, you should not forgo tasting the generous meal-sized Tutto Polpette (meatballs) appetizer. Sarah Kennedy, the master mixologist, applied her craft skillfully, with her signature Basil Pear Martini. All in all, a real gem located in the hills of O’Hara Township. Certainly deserves a 10 star rating!
