This was a very nice restaurant with great service and food. The meals were pricey (seafood pasta & pesto gnocchi) but worth it in my opinion. Unsure if the waiter was joking or serious when he said the dessert was straight from Italy, but it’s identical to another lemon cake dessert served at another restaurant I frequent. They don’t provide you with complimentary bread nor give you a lot with your meal, we had to order more. I would go again but not frequently.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was stellar, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The steak my friend ordered melted in my mouth, and my mushroom ravioli was plate-licking good! Our wine was wonderful too.
I honestly don’t know why anyone would give this restaurant less than 5 stars. If you’ve been on the fence about trying it, go for it—you won’t regret it! It has officially become my favorite restaurant in the downtown Leonardtown area. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Went to Il Piccolo yesterday on a casual date with my husband. We don’t eat out often but this is our go to in town. As always the food was delicious. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The lasagna was a heaping portion with the perfect amount of cheese to meat to pasta ratio. My husband enjoyed his seafood medley pasta special (forgot the name of the dish). I don’t eat seafood but it looked amazing. Our waiter was attentive, funny and made the experience enjoyable! I’m not sure if the woman working there is the owner or manager but she greets us every time we’re there and is genuinely thankful for the patrons. Looking forward to our next visit!

We just had the most incredible meal here. The shrimp scampi with homemade pasta was the best I’ve ever had. The pasta was like none other! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended! We will be back in a regular basis.

We’ve been going here less frequently lately because the food and service haven’t met our expectations, especially considering the price. Last weekend, my wife and I went out to dinner and the service was exceptionally slow. Our drinks arrived well after the appetizer, and then our dinner came an hour later. I ordered the special, a bone-in pork chop over spaghetti, which was so salty I could barely eat it. I think we’re done going here.
Absolutely loved the food and drinks! Staff was friendly and service was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

We had a wonderful dinner and experience here. We both enjoyed the food (Risotto Balls appetizer, Chicken Parm, and Bolognese) and the desserts (Tiramisu, Cannoli, and an espresso with cream). A great spot for a date night or a family special occasion. We will definitely be back. Elegant but comfortable & atmosphere. Our waitress was great. Note: I believe this was “real” food with home made sauces made from real vegetables… so it will NOT be like Olive Gar. or other places that just reheat frozen bags of mass produced food. It will look and taste different, and it will be more expensive. I read some negative reviews here … but this is a local place where they seem to care about making their customers happy. If you’re not happy with something – tell them and I bet they would do their best to fix or improve the situation.

Great food, atmosphere and service. We were celebrating a birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We got the calamari and tempura shrimp & eggplant appetizer. Ossobuco with polenta & duck breast with risotto as entrees. To end the night a slice of carrot cake. The portions were very generous and since we were saving room for cake, we had things boxed up to take home. We will definitely be returning.

We were greeted and guided to our table right away. The outdoor setting is spacious and comfortable. The young server was very courteous and explained their specials of the night well. We ordered the special Tuscan Seafood pasta and Catch of the day. The food came quickly. The pasta had plenty of clams, mussels and crab meat on top! I was very pleased that it was nice and hot. I found that a lot of restaurants serve food luke warm, but their dishes were hot! Everything exceeded our expectations. We will go back there soon ❤️
