Reviews
I started with a poolside glass of wine, a meal at the Italian Restaurant then a drink in the bar to enjoy the music, from Caroline and Manila Sound Band.
The wine was very high quality. I had the seared Tuna, followed by the Jasmin flower ice Cream. Both dishes were delicious. I also asked for Gluten free options and the staff and chefs were very accommodating. The service was very friendly, fast and not pretentious. Doyen and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and kind.
Overall it was a 5 star experience.
I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
What a disappointment it was . Still can not believe that the food we had was prepared by a high end chef .
My husband had the tuna which it seems was cooked before it completely thawed . It was impossible to chew / eat . It looked like a prop food , you can see the picture .
The server noticed the plate pushed aside and asked what happened . She offered to bring another dish , he chose the ravioli .
The dough was very thick and chewy , the sauce hardly acceptable.
My lobster tagliatelle had a very nice presentation but the sauce was really bland .
One of our friends had the scallops which were tasteless and chewy .
And the prices , as other customers said were really high for Vietnam . We knew the prices in advance , did not have a problem with , just wanted great Italian food .
It is really hard to understand how any respectable restaurant and the chef could serve such mediocre and some inedible.food .
Bottom line , our dinner was a big let down .
We ordered to share and although the Tiramisu was instaworthy, the Panna Cotta was so balanced that it stood out. Loved my Espresso Martini paired with it.
The waiters are welcoming and knowledgeable about wine and the food.
The food was great, the atmosphere was lovely.
Must finish the day with espresso and tiramisu !
