I wanted to try this restaurant because I’m always in the mood for some West Indian food. The food wasn’t amazing but edible. The portions for the oxtail dinner was small to me and the the cost of the food is high. The oxtail was spicy but flavorful, the fried plantain was tough/rubbery as if it was microwaved, and the rice and peas was the best part of that meal. The curry chicken roti was more like soup and the roti was thick and tasted like a fried bakes.

I’ve continuously kept finding myself coming back here and now I see why. The seafood is some of the best seafood I’ve tasted in so long. While there is a wait, I always find it worth it when I take that first bite. Truly can’t begin to recommend this place more!!

I had the chicken Stew, Curry goat, Coconut Salmon, and the fried fish (whitening). I’m not sure why is there so many negative comments. So far all my orders has been pretty good. The wait time is long and the high end orders are expensive. Oxtails, Salmon, and Goat (some are Market price). I came to understand, after you get your order, please take the time to open your meal and make sure it is what you ordered. If you are not please with your order let the business know. It is still a fresh business and we need to help them become better and supported. This fried fish is 7.99 and that’s a lot of food!

It was my first visit to this quaint little place and I was not disappointed. It’s tucked in a strip mall next to Giant. I tried the curry chicken and it was filled with so much flavor! I’ve honestly never tried this dish so I stepped out of my normal taste buds and was glad I did. The folks working here were super friendly and would definitely recommend if you are in the mood for great flavors and 90’s dancehall playing in the background.
Dean and his kitchen staff were great!

I am a huge fan of Jamaican food and recently had the pleasure of trying out Gettis Island Spice. Let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! I ordered the brown stew chicken and a curry chicken Patti, and both dishes exceeded my expectations.
The brown stew chicken was cooked to perfection, with tender meat that practically fell off the bone. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, with just the right amount of spices. It was accompanied by a generous serving of rice and peas, which added a nice texture to the dish.
The curry chicken Patti was a pleasant surprise. The flaky pastry was filled with a flavorful and aromatic curry chicken filling. It had a slight kick to it, but not overpowering. It was the perfect handheld snack and I couldn’t resist having a few more bites than I initially planned.
Unfortunately, I was on my lunch break and couldn’t dine inside the restaurant. However, the ambiance looked inviting and I spotted a cozy bar area where I would have loved to sit and enjoy my meal. Next time, I will definitely make it a point to dine in and soak in the atmosphere.
I will definitely be going back for more. If you’re a fan of Jamaican cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won’t be disappointed!

They have several vegetarian options. I tired the vegetarian Callalo plate. It was pretty good but I wish it was spicy. Felt like there was no spice or barely any seasoning in it.
Loved the atmosphere. There was reggae music playing. It was a whole vibe. You can sit inside by the bar, at a high table or outside.

Longing for some good food like from back a Yard I decided to stop my Getti’s before my wife and I headed back to DC.
I was glad that I made the stop. The service was wonderful. The food was made fresh to order and the drinks were North Pole cold. Which is how it should always be.
Very clean location with a friendly staff. At the time of my visit the bar was open, but since I was driving and it was late I decided not to indulge. If I did though they had a great selection of spirits. I will certainly be back again.

Today was my first time trying this establishment after craving caribbean food. The music , customer service , the brown stew, and cabbage were good, but they needed a kick of spice and more of its seasonings to make it .But once they let me try some type of spicy sauce with onions and peppers…. it was sooo good!!!! I believe he said it typically goes on the fish. And the plantains and jerk wings with extra sauce on the side and it satisfied my craving. This was all served with rum punch, which was balanced well. Overall, definitely glad I decided to stop in. Definitely looking forward to their Happy Hour and upcoming events….we need more nightlife/social events like this in our area.
