I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this place it. It should be packed every night. The service was INCREDIBLE. the food was AMAZING and every bite was perfect. This is the place to go for some of the best food in NYC. Though it may not have “influencer vibes” it doesn’t need vibes— the staff and the food are unlike any other. Highly recommend

Absolutely SPECTACULAR restaurant that we visit whenever in NYC. The staff is amazing, caring and they provide unparalleled service. The food is in a league of its own. Everything was cooked and delivered to perfection. The bar service is great and the drinks are as good as the food. The atmosphere is fun and the waitstaff really enjoys their jobs. This is my first choice in NYC for authentic Italian food. You will not be disappointed.

We weren’t planning on dining here, but after a long day of walking and my husband being sick, we needed a quick pick and this was saved on my backups.
They originally turned us away saying there was no room, but then chased us down the block to let us know they could accommodate us.
The service was over the top attentive and friendly without being in your face, rushing or annoying. Everyone seemed genuinely eager to help make the dining experience as enjoyable as possible.

Being from Toronto, I truly miss this type of dining experience. Greeted with Parmesan, and bruschetta and water glasses never less than half full.

The food was delicious. Oysters were top notch. I had veal al limone and it was so flavourful and perfectly cooked. The garlic bread was addicting. And the wines by the glass were a good range in region and prices.

This felt like a neighborhood spot nestled in the middle of the chaotic midtown bustle. I wish my husband wasn’t ill so we could’ve sat and enjoyed dish after dish. I will be back to try the pasta.

The new location of Il Mulino is wonderful and if possible, the food and service are even better. Dinner for four was a spectacular experience. The burratta appetizer with great extra-virgin olive oil, and a touch of balsamic glaze was served at the perfect temperature (i.e., not refrigerator cold) and was clearly a great product. The veal chop marsala, chicken with lightly panko crumbs, and stuffed shrimp were each delicious in their own right. Tender cut of veal, properly cooked chicken so it was not dry, and incredibly large, but succulent shrimp. And dessert. Oh how I have longed for Chef Mazza’s tiramisu and cheesecake! And one cannot leave a review without remarking on the attentive, and not overbearing staff. From Wayne’s greeting at the front door, to each of the waitstaff’s prompt service, the evening was just perfect. Welcome to Madison Il Mulino! We needed your presence as a stand out Italian restaurant!

I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Il Mulino twice over the weekend — and both experiences were absolutely incredible! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff made us feel completely at home, and I can’t say enough about how amazing everyone was. Giovanna, Wayne, Fernando, Taza, Jeremias, the bartender, and hostess were all outstanding — friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make each visit special.

And the food… just perfection! Every dish was full of rich flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care and passion. From the appetizers to the pasta and mains, the wine, and dessert, everything was flawless.

Thank you to the entire Il Mulino team for making both visits so memorable. It’s rare to find a restaurant that pairs exceptional food with such thoughtful, welcoming service. Il Mulino truly exceeded all expectations, and I can’t wait to come back again soon!

Salute!

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the new Il Mulino location last evening. I dined often at their former East 60th Street spot, and this new venue is just as good — if not better. The décor is beautiful, the service superb, and the food excellent. Special thanks to Wayne for the warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Ok food, but absolutely terrible service.

Don’t go there and waste your money. There are a lot better Italian restaurants in New York, like Il Tinello which is always wonderful.

This was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend for everyone. Better than all the authentic Italian food I ate in Italy. I will definitely be returning to this location.
