The best place for a quiet lunch and beautiful views with outstanding service. We had the fettuccine Bolognese, veal with Gorgonzola, and the best (not gritty) Italian cheesecake ever

Amazing. Fine dining, business casual dress code. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I can see why they were so busy. It has a beautiful waterfront view for your dining pleasure. Definitely recommend making a reservation. Service and food was top notch!

Really good Italian food. Excellent service! Came here for business lunch, and service is what really stood out for me, you get just enough attention and when you need it. All the dishes we ordered were great, very simple yet flavorful. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, and while ambiance is fairly simple, it is right by the water, so you get to enjoy nice relaxing views. It gets quite busy in the evenings, too. But this is not a typical Miami place, it reminded me of NYC fine dining.

This afternoon Mothers Day I had dinner with my wife at IL Gabbiano and as usual it was an awesome exceptional experience from the unparalleled service & food quality that no other fine restaurant offers in Miami. You have five waiters and bus boys constantly standing around you that all you do is look at them and they come over. That actually happened today I looked at one and he came over and I told him and I actually said to him I just looked at you and you knew & he said yes sir ! We are here to serve you! We eat out daily and at other restaurants you have to chase down the waiters. Don’t think because I’m saying this they asked me to write a review actually truthfully none of them did. I’m doing this on my own because it was such an enjoyable experience. This restaurant is my wife’s favorite and we all know there’s a few thousand restaurants in Miami! So much for the superb service now the food quality I don’t even know how to describe it. The tuna tartare was as always, exceptional, the bone in veal parmagiana (see photos) is the best tasting veal I’ve ever had. The veal is soft, white, tender other places you look at the meat and it’s dark not good quality. The tomato sauce definitely homemade and the cheese well It actually had a good smell when it was coming over being served. It’s my favorite Italian dish I ordered at all the restaurants we eat out and no one makes it like this place! This is the Best fine Italian Restaurant in Miami!

I wouldn’t touch this restaurant with a ten-foot pole. I was there recently celebrating a special occasion and I ordered the Vongole as my main. That was such a mistake. I ended up getting food poisoned and was in the bathroom the whole night on a “liquid diet.” I ended up in an emergency care unit the following day. I called the restaurant to complaint and to warn them about this experience in the event they got a bad shipment and I got the Controller to call me back. Not the restaurant manager, not anyone involved in the food preparation or food management of the restaurant but the Controller. I was eating chicken broth and apples for three days my stomach was so upset. The Controller saw it appropriate to just credit only a portion of my check…the Controller. Obviously they don’t care about their reputation as a restaurant but just the money if the “Controller” was the one to handle this. This isn’t a matter of money but principle. But what do they know about food anyways. Their offerings are more italian-esque than true italian. I would know, I am italian. But if a restaurant screws up they should own up to it. I have travelled the world eating at some of the best restaurants and this is the first time I encounter a restaurant handling a situation in such a way. My favorite restaurant in Miami is Joe’s Stone Crab and the Capital Grill. I had a similar situation at another steak house in Miami and they owned up to it. I was happy to return and enjoy a second time at their restaurant because they took responsibility for it. The least a restaurant should do is credit a customer for the whole experience they ruined with their questionable food and call it a day. Under the circumstances I would forgive the way this was resolved. But I am sick an tired of restaurant owners charging customers for sub-par food that does not meet health standards and think that they are doing me a favor. Customers have become suckers to restaurant owners. This isn’t the way to resolve this situation. As such I will have the Health Department pay them a visit. This is not okay. I chose to visit this restaurant and would never step inside their premises ever again. I’d love to see what they respond to my post…if at all.

This place was amazing and the staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. I flew my boyfriend here for his birthday. We stayed one night in Miami, until we left for or cruise the next day. The food was amazing and the location was breathtaking. This restaurant sits on the water. The ambiance and atmosphere were incredibly beautiful. I rate this place 10 out of 10. Will definitely recommend and we’ll be back soon.

Dinner at Il Gabbiano in Miami was a refined experience with great service and a classic Italian menu. We started with flavorful Clams Casino, followed by excellent Pasta with Truffles—rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked. The Supreme di Pollo al Calvados was well-made but a little heavy for my taste, while the vegetable side was fresh and nicely seasoned. Dessert was a solid Crème Brûlée, and service throughout the night was attentive without being overbearing. The total came to about $250 for two people, including tax and tip—pricey, but fitting for the quality, portions, and waterfront setting.

I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience tonight. My boyfriend and I were not treated very nicely. We had reservations at 8:45, there was terrible traffic leading up to the restaurant. I obviously planned ahead and still was late. I called the restaurant to let them know of this and she interrupted me mid sentence to say okay, see you soon and then hung up. So I assumed it was no problem. When we arrive, we check in and wait a few minutes for the table. The hostess is speaking Spanish behind us assuming that we can’t understand, she’s complaining about us and we’re standing right there. She was saying that she doesn’t understand why we showed up late and what to do with us. A man in a suit who I assumed is a manager came up and spoke with her saying that he’s just gonna give us the outside table and not give us the option to sit indoors. Again, assuming that we couldn’t understand his Spanish. The food was decent, the chicken in the Alfredo was dry, and the Bolognese needed more salt and flavor. The appetizer was delicious though. We waited almost 10 minutes for our check to get to the table. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. We saw that every couple was given a red chocolate rose for Valentine’s Day on their way out from the hostess, and we were not given one. She purposely ignored us. Overall, it was very disheartening to deal with the petty and sad behavior of the hostess and her manager in a supposed “fine dining” restaurant.

Excellent service. Large portions and a great atmosphere. The clams casino was an experience all its own. For dessert I recommend their in house gelato. We had three waiters attending to us at all times and never ran out of drinks.
