This review is long overdue!!
Il-Forno catered my dad’s celebration of life event in June. It was offsite at the Kaleva Lodge in Littleton. Cynthia, the catering manager, was AMAZING!! She worked with me for a few months on this, as all the planning was done from 3,000 miles away! It was a wonderful event. The food was tremendous, the tables looked great, and the servers/service was beyond what I expected. Il-Forno made this a wonderful day and my siblings and I know our dad would have been “wicked happy”. I cannot recommend Il-Forno enough and I’m thankful for all of their help throughout the entire process. Simply the best!!!

As always the food, service and atmosphere were excellent! Diane and I really enjoyed our valentine’s day dinner! The little touches like the pink and black cloth napkins were neat. We had the Beef Wellington &Italian wedding soup for appetizers. Extra thick veal chop with Piccata sauce and Chicken Rosa for our main course. Diane enjoyed a dark espresso martini or 2. We definitely recommend anyone in the area looking for authentic Italian food to visit this establishment.

We had a large group of girl soccer players and their parents be able to reserve tables with short notice and had a very pleasant dining experience.. the service was very efficient and nice, the plates were served and consumed all the while effervescent conversations were being had.. my meal; chicken puttanesca was very good.. almost able to finish the whole meal save for my belly busting.. the flock of 15 year old girls sitting at their own table were also happy and content, granted they also played well and won their games… if we ever have another tournament in the area, we plan on a return trip…

Overall, I enjoyed this restaurant’s atmosphere. The portion sizes were great, but the service was extremely slow. I arrived around 6pm, and didn’t leave until 8:30pm, simply for waiting on the food to come out. There were also times our waitress disappeared, and then would come back panicked. But outside of the service, when the food arrived, everything was great. Even though service was slow, all workers were still very kind and friendly. I still will definitely be returning, I would love to try their seafood, our waitress stated that it is popular there.

Wonderful experience overall, excellent attentive service by knowledgeable experienced wait person, delicious entrees and generous portions, unrushed atmosphere in a clean and well maintained building. Well lit safe parking. All this at a price point expecting that you’ll get what you pay for, and you do. Not overpriced but not underpriced either. Competitive with others offering similar experiences.

They hosted our groups monthly birthday diner for December birthdays. We had 17 people at three round tables somewhat removed. Food was quite good. I personally had their calamari scampi. Very tasty. Serving size quite large.
We had only a single wait person who seemed green but managed to get through it.

This restaurant has the best chicken parmesan that I’ve ever had in my life. Ingredients on point too, and hands down the best Italian restaurant in New England.

It is a nice neighborhood place with many choices for comfort foods. The service is friendly and they have nice cocktails and a decent choice of wines. My family loves the apps, calamari and scallops wrapped in bacon. Our favorite dish is the veal and eggplant Parmesan with their homemade pasta. The quantity is large enough that I usually eat only half my dish and take the rest home for the next meal.

The carbonara isn’t carbonara. It was way too much bland Alfredo sauce over overcooked pasta with bacon bits thrown on top. The bacon or pancetta should be rendered in the pan. To finish an egg (or yolk) is supposed to be mixed in and cooked by the residual heat in the pasta. It’s not supposed to be swimming in sauce…and for $27 I’s expect fresh pasta cooked properly. The dish was as far from Rome as we are. The garlic bread was decent.

Lovely family oriented Italian spot minutes from the highway. Very accessible, we had my infant son in his stroller the entire time & were able to navigate the entire restaurant without waking him. Very friendly servers, DELICIOUS food!
