Was invited by a friend for dinner to experience Italian cuisine at this restaurant. As a start, the place is huge with very classy decorations and nice ambient lighting. We started with an appetizer sampler dish that was quite good to begin our dining experience. Following that, the two seafood entrees that followed were amazing in both presentation and taste. To round it off, we had Italian gelato desserts that were yummy as well. As expected, the restaurant is quite pricy and it is very difficult to find a parking spot during the weekend. However, it is definitely worth the money.

I had made the reservation ahead and we were a party of 6 people. The set menu is for a slightly larger group.
We came in and the restaurant was slightly crowded.
We had the Margherita pizza and the gnocchi. Both of them were good.

I had the pesto shrimp pizza. That was really warm and the cheese with that too was good. The tiramisu that we had in the end was a little let down.
I highly recommend the pizza here – must try.

I just moved here recently. Thanksgiving day and found this place. They had a four course meal that was very good. I had two Old Fashioneds that were both stiff and tasty. This place made for the beginning of a great day. Thanks! PS…my pre-tip tab was about eighty even. I expected to pay twice that amount.

Argent was such an attentive waiter and made sure that we got the food we needed ASAP (we were hungry). The pasta flight was delicious and definitely worth us stopping by. Not to mention the price point of 20$ was fantastic. Will come again!

Stopped in here in Oct 2025. Was in town for a business and conference event. Was there two nights during that stay. One was for a corporate event and once with a small group for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised both times. The food was perfect. The service equally good. Choices are ample and the dishes are well prepared. It is a bit spendy, but it is Santa Clara and it is expected. The location is in open mall like area with a parking in the middle. The location is shared with other restaurants so parking can be a mess and not always available. I uses ride share so was able to get in and out easy. I would recommend this place for dining and will stop in again when in the area. Reservations recommended.

They have this restaurant in a couple of cities in the Bay area. Nice restaurant for large groups. I made a reservation and one day before and food thing I called again because I needed to make changes. To my surprise, the person who took the reservation didn’t mention that for parties larger than 4 there would be a pre-set menu for $60 per person. The second person mentioned it and after I mentioned my hesitation, he agreed to have a regular menu. We arrived on time and our table was ready. The service is good and the food I ordered was delicious. I recommend their Linguine. It is good and it come with red sauce or I believe wine or white sauce
The calamari appetizer is so-so. Service is good. I don’t understand why they charge 3% service fee. They didn’t make granularity % mandatory even for our group of 12 which I like. Will come back again later. Now one one restaurant left for me to try at that complex.

For Thanksgiving dinner we made reservations at II Fornaio and skipped the turkey for seafood instead. Started with the Calamaretti Fritti—crispy, not greasy, and came with a solid marinara dip. For the main, we both had the Linguine Mare Chiaro. Tons of fresh shellfish, pasta cooked just right, and the broth was light but packed with flavor. The place was busy but the staff kept things smooth. Honestly, a great call for a chill holiday meal without the usual fuss.

We stopped by Il Fornaio since we were all craving Italian food and wanted to give this place a try. It was packed and ambiance seemed like it would be great. Unfortunately looks were deceiving. Food was just so-so. Their desserts were good though. We ordered various items to give it a try but were disappointed. We won’t be back.
