This Osteria is a wonderful family run restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly by the owners.

Carbonara flavours were fragrant with the pork jowl. Lasagna was also wonderfully done, doesn’t have sour tomato sauce! The seafood pasta was amazing too.

I liked it that the location is more on the quiet side, perfect evening to have a chill dinner and wind down. Please note they ONLY accept cash!

Beautiful homely, honest and authentic little gem off the beaten track. Make the effort to stray away from the main square and get rewarded with brilliantly authentic pasta, table wine (excellent value by the way), perfect tiramisu, reasonable pricing and warm, family-focused service. Discover tris fritto also. Really wonderful antidote to the traditional tourist fare. Grazie mille!

If you’re in Trastevere, don’t miss a true hidden gem. Recommended to us by locals, we immediately understood why this spot is always buzzing with people, yet somehow never too crowded. It’s charming, cozy, and has that perfect balance of warmth and comfort that makes you feel right at home.

The standout here is the staff, led by the incredibly kind owner. Her personal touch and attention to every detail truly elevate the whole experience. The food tastes like it’s been made with love after a long day of hard work—genuine, flavorful, and comforting.

A perfect place to unwind and enjoy authentic Roman cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a must-try if you’re in the area!

Solid must 9/10

The best meal we had in Rome! Bring cash as they only accept cash! We didn’t know this but luckily there is an ATM steps away. Their panna cotta was the best dessert I had in my life. Everybody was so nice, and the place is run by the loveliest lady 🙂

Not a good experience and I don’t recommend this restaurant. There were three of us and we ordered three dishes: a lasagna, which my daughter said was very good; fettuccine with meatballs, which was very good pasta but only had two small meatballs when three or four more would have been perfect; and seafood fettuccine, which was absolutely disgusting—frozen seafood and a tomato sauce that tasted like defrosted seafood and had nothing to do with a seafood sauce. The wine was a basic table wine, just so you know. And the tiramisu was completely shameful for an Italian restaurant. It was whipped cream with a bland taste instead of mascarpone. Someone left a comment saying it was the best tiramisu of their trip; I don’t know what they ate, but it was the worst tiramisu of my trip. It’s definitely not tiramisu. Also, you have to pay in cash only. Don’t trust the pictures, that seems good but not the tiramisu and seafood pasta.

Had a great last dinner in Rome here! It was family owned and the service was amazing. It’s down a little alley so it’s away from the super busy streets. We had lasagna, meatballs, and chicken parm. All was absolutely fantastic would 100% recommend if you are in Rome!

Do not be swayed by negativity – people are too full of themselves.
Il Boticelli was an amazing experience for my family and I.
The ease of making reservations through The Fork made it a great way to start. We arrived early, requested to sit outside under the stars and we immediately accommodated.
We had appetizers, prosecco, pasta, mains and the tiramisu. Every place has a different take on their version of a dish – and this place, the owners , who serve you, pour their hearts into their food and the experience of their guests. The food was awesome, wholesome and homemade. I am someone that does not waste stomach space on mediocre food, I will spit it out – and the food here is worth every bite!

It is cash only, plan ahead, there are many ATMs around

Below average food.. I can’t figure out why so many good reviews? Are these all tourist reviews? The dishes had no taste and were bland – the worst meal I had in Rome! You guys need to up your game! Plenty of other nice restaurants in Rome, don’t go here. They don’t deserve your money. Oh and for some reason they don’t accept card… made me go to the ATM round the corner.
