This was our first visit here at Ike’s Takeout and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was! I got their roasted chicken with queso on a bed of rice and sides and my husband got the beef bbq sandwich. Everything was soooo good! We will definitely be back for some more down home cooking! Yummy cheesecake too! You can tell they take a lot of pride in the dishes they prepare!

Ike’s Take Out!!!! Why have I never been here? I have truly missed out on a MUST STOP! But, thankfully I was watching Facebook reels this morning and seen a funny man showing himself making homemade Chicken Noodle Soup! I haven’t been feeling good lately so I asked my wife if she wanted to go. When you drive up it looks like a little food drive in that would be on Route 66! There is an outdoor seating area with umbrellas. You walk up to the window and order, they have visuals of most of their food to look at, which was pretty cool! They have daily specials! They take a card, but cash is appreciated! The interior of the kitchen looked brand new, very clean. We were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness! NOW on to the FOOD!! I ordered Ike’s famous Chicken Salad Sandwich with a cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. My wife ordered the Smoked Chicken Breast Sandwich with Potato Salad. Good came out QUICK! Less than 5 minutes! Very impressed with that. Pics were taken in the parking lot and how they came. We are in our truck there. The Chicken Salad is homemade with smoked chicken breast! The croissant was light and fluffy but not flaky, which I like! I don’t want the flakes all over my shirt! Lolol. The chicken noodle soup I could have bought a 5 gallon bucket of it and it wouldn’t have been enough! Top 3 I have had. Tried my wife’s potato salad and it was the best of both worlds! It was creamy and chunky! Homemade as well. My wife’s smoked chicken sandwich was also sliced which made for better bites and presentation of the sandwich. She had them put the siracha orange sauce on it! Not too hot and not too sweet. Really really good! The only thing I would have done differently would have been to put that bun on the grill and give it a little toasting. But still would order that sandwich regardless again and again! The owner came out and gave us a taste of his mushroom soup while we were eating! How personal is that!!! I’m not a fan of mushroom soup, but my wife is, and we actually both loved it! I couldn’t believe it! After I threw the trash away, I went up and ordered banana pudding and no bake cheesecake! My wife was upset because she was already full. But couldn’t resist the cheesecake!!! Lololol. Both were wonderful! The banana pudding cookies actually stayed firm and crisp on the bottom, both were homemade! The no bake was my favorite! There was a hint of lemon in it! In closing, I would drive well over an hour to come and taste Ike’s food! It’s all homemade and all quality ingredients! And the price is very very reasonable for the quality of food you receive! You won’t be disappointed going here! And if you are there is a pay phone on the side of the building! You can call someone who cares! Lololol! In all seriousness I could really tell that the folks here really care about the product they put out and the community they are in. You have to go there.

What an experience! I saw this place on my drive to the lake from Kansas City, Mo. looked good so we stopped to try it, Amazing food and amazing people can’t wait to come back next week and try more stuff. Best fried cabbage I’ve ever had from a restaurant.

Super friendly service. The food was so good. We ordered several things to try and liked them all. The stacker was delish. The smoked chicken is outstanding. Potato salad was great. Chicken and dumplings are good. The banana pudding, cheesecake and flour less chocolate cake are all winners.

While stopped in construction traffic, the owner of Ike’s came out and handed out $20 gift cards to the first couple cars. Incredible gesture and smart business move. So we decided to try it. We ordered the frito chili pie, chili dogs, scalloped potatoes, and flourless chocolate cake. The food was great, the service was fast and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. We’ll definitely be back—highly recommend!

My wife and I rented a cabin for her birthday on a whim and were wondering where all we would eat at on our vacation. We tried out Ike’s first and ended up eating here for every meal. This is some of the best food we have ever had. Everything about this place is perfect. They are extremely friendly and generous. Very clean and very fast while the food is fresh and hot. We couldn’t have asked for more. Everything we got was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back many times. Anyone that will be in this area or just passing by should absolutely stop in and get some delicious food. Take it out to the lake and enjoy a nice picnic. 11/10. 5 stars isn’t enough to represent how good this place is.

I had always wanted to try Ike’s Takeout. Today, my wife and I tried their food. I had the smoked catfish on a bed of rice with fried cabbage and green beans. It was excellent. The catfish was moist and flavorful on a bed of rice. The green beans and fried cabbage were perfectly seasoned like your grandmother had made them. The food was very tasty. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was outside and relaxing. You have to try this place. I will come again!!!
