I shopped at IKEA many times. This is my first time having dinner in their restaurant. I love the dining area and the simplest food order process. It is more like a cafeteria style. Line up, pick up the food and drink, then pay at the checkout cashier counter. The food is okay. The workers are nice. The dining room is the best. I will have my lunch or dinner here more often.

Who would’ve taught putting a restaurant in a furniture store was a brilliant idea. It can get rather busy but theres plenty of seats and tables to go around. Not the biggest menu but what they do offer they make rather well. Do take note it’s more of a cafeteria style of serving yet despite that it’s really good quality food. The food isnt jam packed with sodium or any over powering flavoring. Some people may complain it’s bland or that it doesnt have any taste, I think just aren’t used to more subtle flavors. Light saltiness, light sweetness, theres other food options to add for other flavors yet food you can keep eating without immediately getting sick if you eat too much. Overall if youre in ikea, seems almost a necessity to stop by the restaurant for a quick bite or a hearty meal.

It was a nice, quiet escape from the rain outside. I really enjoyed the different seating sections. It was fun to sit on a comfortable couch for dinner. The bathroom renovation is awesome, and I want that new sink they installed.

Prior experiences were better. Today, however, meatballs were too salty, and the chocolate cake tasted like what you’d get at a low quality supermarket. Plant meatballs were better, and the mashed potatoes with gravy were good. Small garden salad was decent. There was only one server when we arrived at 11:50 on a Saturday, which resulted in a long wait.

Their prices went up. $14 for a long line and a small piece of salmon. Clearly understaffed. Chaotic experience. Not even napkins, just rolls of paper. Wasteful paper plates. Quality went downhill. AVOID

The cake shelves were empty and there was only one salad.
Only two toasts were there, we took one and left the other for someone behind us.
Only one piece of fish was left and no one cared to fill the tray.
We went with veggie and Swedish meatballs which both were ok but nothing special.
The shelves were refilled with cakes and salads almost 30 minutes later when we were finished and leaving. It was only 4 pm and not close to end of business. Something is wrong in their kitchen!

The lines were very long during my visit, so not all of the menu was readily available.
That said, the prices were excellent, my Stockholm salad was wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable despite the crowds. I will definitely return sometime.

Food is ok. It’s fast and convenient – the best was to describe it. The taste: nothing to write home about. Scrambled eggs tasted like powdered eggs, fries were made from frozen most likely and the crepe was really bad – it was thick stoggy and sticky and extremely undercooked so it tasted like raw flour. The bacon was ok, but that’s kind of hard to get wrong. The blueberry scones wasn’t bad – not too sweet and went well with coffee. The price was unbeatable though – for $5.99 /plate I got, plus free coffee (with membership card) and a $1.90 scones, you couldn’t get that even at McDonald’s these day. So, that pretty much covers Ikea Restaurant

The IKEA Bistro is a simple menu you either like meatballs or you don’t? But if you do, your in for a treat, yum. You can even purchase them in the cafe downstairs to take home and make meatball sandwich’s, or put them in your spaghetti. Or wipe up some gravy and relive your IKEA Bistro experience at home. Can you tell I’m a big fan. Service was good, quick. Ambiance is totally IKEA, try out the dinning tables before you buy. Would have given them a ***** but it’s no longer a smorgasbord (limited food options), but they still have the signage up. Looking for something to do or not sure where to go on that first date. The IKEA bistro my be the place to go.

Definitely not what it used to be…if you’re looking for swedish meatballs sure it’s the only place otherwise it’s like dorm food from the 90s with some nice cake slice options..for the price range ($10-$20 per person) you can get a better meal at Chipotle or innout…the soda machine here always seems out of order and coffee taste like tea.
