Today was a meeting with the orthopedic surgeon to discuss the progress of my shoulder. Another painful shot of Toradol later and it was time to go home and spend the day with an ice pack.
I started feeling nauseated so I knew I needed to eat. I decided not to be picky, or try to find something unique. I am glad I wasn’t.
We were greeted and seated almost immediately. Coffee, French vanilla creamer, menus and water were brought to the table. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name.
After going through the menu several times I finally decided on chicken and waffles with honey mustard for a dipping sauce. Ray ordered a strawberry waffle.
Neither of our breakfasts was a disappointment!! My waffle was light and crispy. The chickens strips were pretty good sized and very tasty.
Ray’s waffle was light and fluffy like mine. It was loaded with fresh sweet strawberries and lots of whip cream; just the way he likes it.
While I still like to support small independent businesses because I am also one, I guess there are times when a bigger operation is OK.
From there, we went home where I proceeded to spend the next few hours with an ice pack on my shoulder. The good news is I am making progress in my healing. I can’t wait until I am back in the saddle again!!!

I went here late (around 9pm ish) with my friends and had the best experience. Our server was so sweet, the food came out super fast, and everything tasted AMAZING. We will be coming back soon this place was the highlight of our day

Worst food experience we’ve had. Host wasn’t sure if they had seating and went back and forth with someone before placing us somewhere, lady who took our drinks was rude and didn’t even know one of the drinks on the menu, waited a while for food order to be taken, server was obviously not paying attention, and proceeded to wait 40 minutes for simple items; I saw 4 tables get seated, orders taken, drinks AND food delivered before us, and 1 paid and left. I tried repeatedly to flag down servers but I was blatantly ignored repeatedly. We got our food a few minutes after I finally got a server’s attention, but was not brought silverware and tried again to flag down someone before my boyfriend walked up to the kitchen area and got someone’s attention. I was trying not to cry from frustration. The food was warm at best. both our eggs were overcooked. My boyfriend’s crepes were the biggest contender, as they were dry and like thin pancakes, nothing like advertised. The picture has creme but his did not. They looked terrible, and he ate the strawberries off and picked at it until he lost his appetite. Our server only ever came over in a timely manner to collect payment. We were both very saddened by the experience and we will likely not be returning.

I know the area is a little iffy. But we were starving and it was late in the evening. Stop by there we were the only two people in the restaurant. Had a wonderful breakfast. The server was an amazing lady. She was very attentive to our needs and got our food quickly. I would definitely go back there again.

We had a great experience at IHOP Lakewood. The food tasted really good and the staff were very welcoming. Our attendant was especially kind and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. They also provided a high chair for my 8-month-old, which we truly appreciated. Overall, it was a pleasant and family-friendly experience, and we’ll definitely be back.

I reallly didn’t want to write a bad review, but after the experience I had, I feel like it’s justified. I went to this Ihop restaurant near my motel 6 , and from the moment I walked in, the staff who came to take my food order didn’t return a good morning or a nice smile and treated me like I am a burden. She was extremely rude and condescending, making me feel completely unwelcome.
She brought my food, two minutes later threw a bill on my table and left. I never saw her again. They didn’t refill my water. Not a single person looked back for three-quarters of an hour.
It was so uncomfortable, and honestly, I’ve never been treated so poorly before. clearly had no interest in being helpful or polite, and I felt judged the entire time. I never want to go back this establishment no more

Best dining experience I have ever had. Cynthia our server was amazing and the cook made everything 110% loved the attention to detail and the music was on point. Best IHOP Ever 20 out of 10 stars highly recomend!!

Terrible food and terrible service. Place was pretty dead and still slow. Bought 5 min wait till we got served. Food took a long time, I had finished my drink before the food showed. ordered some kids pancakes and the spicy chick sand. My food was over cooked and cold, my daughters pancakes were under cooked.
I watched as our food sat in the window and no server to be found. Was ready to walk out twice. And the side of small fries on the side was $5! Seriously $5!

My girlfriend and I came here on Veteran’s Day. Thank you IHOP for honoring veterans with a free meal on Veterans Day.
Everything was wonderful with the exception of the taste of the coffee. Not everyone is as particular as I am about the taste of a great cup of black coffee.
I enjoy a good black cup of coffee (or two, three, or four) when I eat out for breakfast. If I don’t find the coffee all that good, I will put half and half in it.
I put half and half in my coffee. I liked having the coffee pot right on the table so I could refill my cup. Just wished the coffee had a better taste without needing to add half and half.
