Our food came and my Husband and I looked at our food, look at each other and shook our heads. What happened? The pancakes use to soft & fluffy ha! They were far from that, they were flat, crispy and dry, the toppings on the pancakes were sparce, definitely not even close to what the picture looks like. Not only that, our waiter was so busy that the side dish that was supose to come with my meal I didn’t get until my husband was finished with his meal. To say I was not happy, is an understatement! All in all, the food was not good, it lacks flavor and culinary technique. Also in my opinion hire some more waiter/ waitresses because I’m so sick of seeing places that are understaffed and over worked employees.
Phew! I’m so glad I got that off my chest. So if your craving for some ihop yummiful, tastie, flavorful food with soft & fluffy pancakes, go to Rocklins ihop, I guarantee your taste buds and belly will thank me.
I’ll definitely return sooner than later. If you haven’t been there in a while, you may want to consider it.
The ladies room smelled horrid. It was so bad, that another patron propped open the door to air ir out before we left.
The service was awkward. Victoria was nearly silent. I asked for boxes. She delivered them without a word a stood there with her hand out while I scraped my leftovers into a box. I even said, “oh, I guess I should hurry. I’m being pressured to finish up.” My fiance just gave her a questioning look. She said nothing. Just continued to hold her hand out toward my plate until I was done. Then she left for several minutes. After, I used the restroom a second time, my fiance used the men’s room. Then Victoria came back and asked if I would like a bag for our boxes of leftovers. I said, “yes, please.” I watched her walk to the supply area behind our row of booths. She flung open the plastic bag and slowly walked over with the bag carefully held open. She approached the table. Stood there for a moment. Then carefully placed the open bag on the table. Mind you, the plastic bags are flimsy. Very thin. It started to droop, so she reopened the bag with both hands and stepped back. She stood there, staring at the bag as I put our two boxes in. It was a very strange experience.
