I would say it’s a pretty bad experience as a customer here. Waiting time for more than 45 minutes, and I ordered the T-bones for medium rare, but it came as well done. How can you tell if you have eaten a well-done steak? They even did not fill out the water and coffee. The only good thing for them is they are open 24 hours; if you wake up too early or just finished your night shift work, you can come to eat.

On August 16, 2023, during the mid morning time frame, a friend and I arrived at the IHOP on Southgate Road in Colorado Springs. We stood at the front and waited to be seated for at least ten minutes or more. The restaurant wasn’t that busy, no one else was waiting but us, and no host or hostess appeared to be on duty. Finally someone came out of the back and seated us. No one ever came to the table to give us water or take our order. When we tried to get the attention of a waitress, she gave us an attitude. We sat there for 15 minutes and no service at all. We finally got up and left. No one tried to stop us or apologized for the inconvenience. There was a very don’t care attitude. We left and went over to Just Love Coffee Cafe.

Today everything was outstanding for an IHOP. We have had some very bad experiences at many of these but was delighted by this one on vacation. Friendly staff and excellent hot food in a timely manner. The only downside is the pricing. 3 adults and 1 child ran $75, $87.50 with tip. Everything is going up and it’s starting to show everywhere now. Other than that. All was excellent this time around.

I’ve never been to a restaurant and not left a tip in my whole life. Our server Marlyn Z was horrible. She wasn’t present whatsoever for our whole experience. Other people were delivering her tables food while she was sitting back having conversations for the duration of our experience. The ONE time she came to check on us she had just finished laughing again and then said “oh I should go check on my table” . We had to ask other waiters for our drinks to be refilled and had to condiment hop from table to table just to get what we needed since our waiter was no where to be found. Not only that but the food took over 45 minutes and they couldn’t even come check to see if we needed anything or apologize for the long wait. There’s no way I was going to leave this girl a tip when she wasn’t even doing her job. Please do better Marlyn. When you have tables please learn how to have better customer service or don’t be a server.

A trip down to memory lane brought my wife and I back to IHOP. We used to frequently visit this location when we were younger due to our busy schedules. Often IHOP was the only restart open that would be open; therefore, we went back for the nostalgia. Side note: We barely ate and we’re starving.

My friend and I were in the mood for pancakes, so we decided to visit IHOP. The restaurant was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. After we were seated, the server poured two cups of coffee for the table, despite my friend explicitly requesting water as neither of us drink coffee. When I returned to the table from using the restroom, I assumed the coffee was included with the meal and decided to have a cup, unaware that my friend had specifically asked for water.
