I had a fantastic experience at IHOP Gainesville today! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive from the moment I walked in. My server, was very efficient and friendly, making sure my coffee was always full and that I had everything I needed.
I ordered the classic pancakes, and they were as delicious as always – fluffy, warm, and perfectly golden. The variety of toppings available is great too! The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable, casual atmosphere, which is exactly what I look for in a breakfast spot. It’s also open 24 hours, which is a huge plus for those late-night cravings or early morning starts.
Overall, IHOP Gainesville is a reliable and enjoyable place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I highly recommend it!

2.15.26-Party of 6- I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond disappointing. We arrived at 10:30 AM and didn’t leave until 11:30 AM and not because we were enjoying ourselves.
Our server (black guy with braids to the back) was rude, unknowledgeable about the menu, and completely inattentive. He never came back to check on us, never offered drink refills, and we had to flag someone down for basic service. Meanwhile, he was noticeably more attentive and engaged with other customers of a brighter complexion, which made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unacceptable.
To make matters worse, the restaurant was not clean. The bathrooms were in horrible condition. The silverware brought to our table was disgusting we had to send it back and request plasticware instead. And being told they were “out of coffee” at breakfast time at IHOP? Completely unacceptable.
This was an extremely disappointing visit from start to finish. Do not eat here unless you want to leave frustrated and disappointed.

I stopped coming to this location a couple of years ago because the service was awful, the food was mediocre. There were long wait times, some people even left. The orders were often wrong. The food tasted plastic.
However my last 2 visits have been absolutely perfect. Prompt pleasant service. Food taste amazing. I had to bring Shatavia to my table and compliment her. Nudia, my server was polite, attentive and professional.

clean, friendly and fast. The food was amazing!! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and got a table. Shatavia was our server and she was awesome. She was fast with our drinks, made suggestions on drink and food choices. Everyone was working with each other to make sure all tables were being taken care of. I even saw the Manager seating the door, cooking food and bussing tables. This is an amazing group of employees.

Food was really good but a few days ago we were here and the ticket i paid for i didn’t sign or write the tip on it and Christina the server that was serving us forged it and the management needs to review the footage otherwise she may have did it off cameras blind spot. But I found out my bank was from $36 and some change up to over $42 and that is criminal especially when I didn’t sign anything she cant do it because its fraud. I already tried contacting my bank but they told me they cant refund partial back but they can do whole transaction (i dont want to do that because i rather pay the meal we ate) but not the total i didn’t agree to pay or to contact ihop directly. But I need my $6 back, I will be eating at waffle house, it’s much cheaper anyway. Ihop definitely raised their prices a lot, used to be less than $10 for breakfast plates and now its over $15-20 while paying employees 2.14 an hour due to texas minimum tip laws, thats why I am voting out Abbott.
