The server was real nice n checkin in and making sure we were doing alright. Didn’t even have to wait that long for the food, even when it was a lil busy at the time.
The place is always pretty clean throughout the time I came and food is always good and cooked to satisfy me.
So I definitely plan to continuing coming back.
Key Issues for Review:
Substandard Product Quality & Presentation: The “short stack” pancakes I ordered were significantly undersized and served in inappropriate packaging.
Unprofessional Management Conduct: Upon requesting a correction, the manager on duty was dismissive, judgmental, and overtly rude. Instead of attempting a service recovery, he chose to be argumentative regarding the size of the food, creating an unnecessarily hostile interaction.
Failure to Provide Basic Amenities: The staff failed to provide basic necessities, such as plastic cutlery, even upon direct request. This further highlights a breakdown in fundamental service standards.
The behavior exhibited by the manager is a poor reflection of your brand. A leadership role requires de-escalation skills and customer empathy, both of which were entirely absent during this encounter. This level of service is unsustainable and will undoubtedly lead to a continued loss of patronage for this location.
I request that this incident be investigated and that you provide an update on how you intend to rectify the situation and improve the management standards at this branch.
Alma did an amazing job explaining the menu and helping us choose our food. She made sure our drinks were always full and that our meals came out right. Even when the restaurant was busy, she stayed calm and friendly and still gave great service to everyone.
What really stood out was how much she cared about doing her job well. She paid attention to details, listened carefully, and made sure we were happy with everything. You can tell she takes pride in her work and truly cares about customers.
Because of Alma, our experience at IHOP was way better than expected. She brought good energy, kindness, and professionalism, and that made our day. IHOP is lucky to have someone like her. If you ever eat here, I hope you get Alma as your server — she’s amazing and deserves all the praise.
My wife and I wanted breakfast after dropping the kids off at the airport, and happily we decided to give ihop a shot this time. Boy, were we quite pleasantly surprised! Spotlessly cleaned, polite and professional staff, well prepared and displayed food, and the waitress Alma was a pleasure to deal with. Bravo! It impressed us enough to do what we NEVER do… call the manager over to compliment him for how he was running his restaurant and how much we appreciated that. He was on top of everything and monitoring his staff’s performance the whole time. Nice guy.
If you live in the Mckinney/Frisco Texas area and you’ve been wishing for a really nice ihop, go here. Really!
4 adults and 4 kids reached at 9:00 pm. by the time we are at the reception, only 2 customers were having their dinner. Two staffs were there to respond the customer request. They saw us but didn’t respond ask us take a seat. The tempatrature was down on that day.
We ordered the food which were listed in the photo. There is no issue with the food they provided. but i find the spoons are used and they didn’t washed it properly. Next, We asked hot water, they supplied with dust. This is also shown on the photo.The person who was attending our request already mentioned that he is new and pre apologize if he does any mistakes. I accept that.
We repeat one order for a omlette, the first order was awesome and we expected the same but the repeated order was a failure, they messed up all the options. We clearly mentioned the bill to repeat the same.
Note: by the time when were having dinner there are 2 more customer’s and they were welcomed and alloted seats immediately. It is unfair.
Improvements required:
1. Management has to increase their staff count by adding one more staff. It’s a request
2. Please verify the plates / spoons are well cleanned
3. You can take the order a bit late not an issue. but please ask the customer to be seated.
Even they are making mistakes, I have provided the tips. I will come back one more time to see for improvements.
I will definitely revert back the ratings if i am happy with my next visit.
