The food was delicious. My husband had the Waffle Combo. I had the Pancake Combo. Our server was great. She was nice and checked in on us to make sure we had refills and to see if we needed anything. The decor in the restaurant was really cool. It’s a collection of antique doors, old gates, shutters and frames from New Orleans. Also if you are a Andy Griffith Show fan you’ll appreciate the photo in the back. It’s of Hal Smith, he was The Pancake Man for IHOP in the late 50’s and early 60’s. It was a children’s show sponsored by IHOP.

This is by far our favorite IHOP!! The food is always great! The restaurant is always clean! And hands down, they have the best service we have ever seen. From the warm greetings, fast service, friendly smiles, this place has it all. Our waitress Nakia was professional, courteous, friendly and provided the best service we could have hoped for. We visit this restaurant on every NOLA visit and highly recommend you do as well!

We had a very nice breakfast at the IHOP on Canal Street. They have the interior fixed up very nicely, with a wall displaying Hurricane Katrina items. The seating is varied with good spacing. The gentleman that seated us and our server were both very friendly and outgoing. Our food was very good and the coffee was hot. Very pleased.

We stopped in at ihop for breakfast while on the road. We got a warm welcome from the hostess at the door.
It turned out that the hostess was also our server, she was very nice and polite.
We ordered pancakes omelettes and steak and eggs, the steak was very thin but delicious. IHOP is a must try when you’re dining in, it was delicious I even ordered one to go.
Unfortunately the one I got to go was watered down, I couldn’t finish it!
Overall a very nice place to try.

I want to make this perfectly clear; this review is for the waitress Nikiyah(?) I’m sure I butchered her name and I’m sorry.
It’s an iHop. There’s nothing special about this one specifically. The missus and I went in and got the breakfast sampler. The food came out fairly quickly, was exactly what you’d expect from an iHop, same with the coffee.
From the moment we walked in, it was very obvious there were some staffing issues here. There was a queue of about 5 people waiting to be sat, while there were about a dozen or so empty tables. Looking around, there was a manager, standing around doing about half of nothing and looking like she’d rather be anywhere else, a waitress slogging about with a clear chip on her shoulder, and a bus boy(?) slowly clearing tables.
Then there was Nikiyah. This woman was a hurricane. Seating customers, clearing tables, running food, taking orders. Essentially, she was running the whole restaurant.
There were a few tables sat near us who sounded like a nightmare to deal with, and at no point did I ever see anything but a lovely smile on her face.
Nikiyah was an absolute breath of fresh air in hospitality and a pleasure to watch work. An absolute diamond in the rough. I cannot sing her praises enough. If there is a restaurant owner or manager reading this, go give that woman a job at a proper establishment because this iHop does not deserve her

It’s a question who is running this place. 2 guys at check-in stand seem to be security but seated some people and not others.
Took forever for the waitress to come to our table. Watched them tell everyone coming in a different story about the restaurant being closed or open. Took $20 from a white guy to seat then even after told everyone it’s closed, while a brown couple came in and waited for a table only to be told no after 10 min of waiting. Then the girl asked to use the restroom and the security guard hussled her for $5 to use it.
Food was not cooked well. I don’t recommend ever going here even if you’re drunk and hungry after Bourbon st.

Mixed emotions about the visit. Took almost an hour for my pancakes when there was only one other table of two in the building which already had their food and the manger sent the server into the bathroom to me on the toliet to get my order instead of waiting for me to return to the table.The bathrooms were also nasty. On the contrary the pancakes were really good….

This IHOP was awful . When were seated two of the waitresses were having an issue as to who wud serve us. Once seated the waitress right away said she wud not take our order because the kitchen is backed up and will be awhile…so after about 8min she brought water.. asked for straws 3x…later she finally takes our order….about 20min later she brought half our order and the other half another 20min or so later…..the food was not very good especially the pancakes and no Belgian waffles the waffle maker was broken. We had to give our payment to another waitress because our waitress was MIA….terrible experience. I really an IHOP in the south wud have been a better experience smh.
