We came for Christmas Eve breakfast and even though they were busy, everything was great I really enjoyed the smokehouse combo with pancakes — it was absolutely yummy The spicy poblano omelette was really spicy, just how we like it, and we loved it!!

I don’t care what anyone says, the buttermilk pancakes at IHop remain at the top of my list for best pancakes! My visit to this Kansas City location did not disappoint. Got a pancakes combo and the food was quick, delicious and with huge portions. Thanks Franco (I think that was the cooks name ).
The staff here were SO NICE. They were all so welcoming and considerate. Even my waitress, whom I was told was in training, was super sweet and hard-working.
Unfortunately this location seems to not be well taken care of. There’s a leaking ceiling that’s closing off part of the restaurant and for some reason their sign still says 24-hours even though they are not (apparently this sign hasn’t been up a long while).
Actually really a shame that the owners are not taking better care of this place cause the kitchen is clean , the rest of the place is fabulous and the staff are totally awesome. Great location, set just off busy intersections with ample parking. Wheelchair accessible.

My husband and I chose to eat at IHOP in Overland Park, Kansas, but I’m writing because I want to emphasize that while the food is very good, the atmosphere created by this gentleman, Oscar, is excellent. My husband enjoys talking to him in both Spanish and English; he always greets us with a warm smile, and his attentiveness and kindness make us want to return to that restaurant.

I made the mistake of going on Christmas Eve during the brunch rush, but I was craving steak and eggs and smaller restaurants in the area don’t offer that combo. That being said, I didn’t have to wait to be seated. Staff was constantly bustling to make sure people were taken care of. I didn’t hear any kerfuffles about mistakes from the kitchen, and my order was perfect. My server, Ann, had several parties of four or more, and no one was neglected. The sirloin tips… wonderful! Eggs and hash browns… perfect. Pancakes…a little overcooked on the edges but otherwise IHOP quality.

The food was fine. The service was the absolute WORST I’ve had in YEARS. The old white lady waitress is absolutely WORTHLESS at her job. It wasn’t terribly busy, about five small tables total. It took me and my fiance 35 minutes to get our orders taken, and this was after she seated and waited every single other table there that arrived after we did?
She was obnoxious and brushed it off as “oh I thought you were working”. That’s NOT an excuse: you ask the customer every so often if they’re ready to order, “working” or not. Ignoring us for damn near half an hour? Was it because I’m not white and conventionally attractive like the other customers there?
She kept trying to make jokes and it came off as horribly obnoxious when I’ve got an entire hole gnawing at my stomach for so long. Just shut up and go away so I can eat. Then it took forever to get the check because she wants to sit and yap with someone near the front door. And she wants to harp on “oh thank goodness I finally got help coming in”. If you can’t even handle 5 small tables I don’t think you’re cut out for a waitressing job.
Worst service ever. I’d get better service from a broken Roomba roaming the restaurant. Food is fine but if you value your time and being treated like a human being, avoid.

Ordered take out. Excellent service. They really loaded me up with toppings and made sure to include utensils. Food tasted very good. Will definitely come back if given the chance.

The waitress was in a hurry to take us out, he even sit us in the most awkward place even when we requested a booth which was empty. And getting over the fact that ihop in get became more expensive and charged 1.99 extra for a kids drink that my son drank in 2 sips. The waitresses overcharged me. My bill was for $46.38 ( 2 coffees, 1 kids juice, 1 kids eggs with waffle, 1 poblano eggs Benedict and one 2 easy eggs. Nothing fancy) my husband left a cash tip on the table and I paid with my card, just to come home and find out I had a charge for $58.04 in my card. And I would understand it if my whole family was there and we didn’t left a tip (still not nice to get yourself the tip without asking) but it was 2 adults, a toddler and we like to tip in cash. And by the way. They haven’t answered the phone to solve the problem. I would go to a better restaurant and eat better for 58 dollars

I dragged my husband kicking and screaming to IHOP just to try the $6 value menu. Real talk…I was SURPRISED, it was good! I had the ham and cheese omelette and it came with two pancakes…for six bucks!! I wasn’t sure about the white cheese sauce, but it wasn’t bad. And our server was super sweet and very attentive❤️
With the price of everything going up so drastically and the IHOP experience being so awesome, we’ve decided to support more businesses that offer value meals!
