I had the chicken fried steak with extra gravy. And obviously if everything it comes with. And two sausages.
At this particular ihop, the sausage gravy was actually a better than a few others.I’ve been to. As always pancakes are good. But I asked for crispy hash browns and add onions. They charge me one dollar for basically three or four little slivers of onion and it was not crispy whatsoever. Unbelievably greasy. I asked for over easy eggs. I don’t know how they accomplished it.One egg was perfectly over easy.And the other one was overwell. The sausages I believe were two dollars apiece. That seems a bit outrageous. Now I ordered a cup of coffee.Probably my inexperience. Not a coffee drinker.I just wanted one cup.I figured would be maybe two bucks at most. They gave me the whole carafe. Over four dollars. I only drink maybe three quarters of a cup. No, I had asked for fresh lemon on the side. There was four slivers three were fresh. The last one was extremely slimy and rancid almost. Not really a big deal, but maybe better looking at product rotation. The server was unbelievably friendly. She was the only one on and they had.I would say at least five tables, and she was still able to come back twice.And ask if I needed anything, and how everything was. Sorry I didn’t get her name.

I don’t normally write reviews, but when I do, it’s either for totally terrible service or the most outstanding service I’ve experienced in a long time. This review is for superb service, outstanding food quality, and an overall wonderful experience. I eat out quite often and this place gets all the I can give.
My son and I ordered the same food, sirloin tip steak, hash browns, eggs, and pancakes with coffee. First off, the service was honestly the best I’ve had in awhile. Our waitress, (Her name escapes me, but I think it was Andrea or something like that) was very pleasant and attentive. She was always smiling and she appeared to enjoy her job immensely.
Everything on my plate was delicious. The steak tips were so wonderfully tender and moist. They were sautéed in a special sauce that went well with the eggs and hash browns. There was a decent portion of steak and hash browns and eggs. I had mine over easy. The eggs were cooked to order and the hash browns were perfectly cooked. I told my son who works close to Richmond that I would eat at the IHOP any time I’m in the city and would drive out of my way just to eat there. What a great experience I had today. My mouth is still watering, thinking about what a special meal that was. Thank You IHOP for such a wonderful meal!!!

Summer was our server and the manager, Michael, were absolutely wonderful and so very kind! The server was a very kind, lovely, and pleasant young lady who made our entire experience here very great, overall! Even the food was incredible as well as the lovely service. Kindness goes such a very long way for my husband and me so, naturally, of course we both wanted to give a great big, and very POSITIVE, shout out to both our waitress/server AND the manager. We (neither my husband NOR myself) had EVER been to IHOP before our brunch here TODAY/THIS MORNING but we were certainly NOT disappointed in ANY way. Always remember, Folks, KINDNESS IS KING!!!! ALWAYS!!! But YES, we will MOST DEFINITELY, be back here again after this ever – so – very – PLEASANT experience. And the aforementioned kindness was GENUINE as well, which only makes it even just all that much better, even. Most folks CAN tell, especially US with our chosen career fields (as hubby is a Retired Marine and I am a retired Paramedic… the both of us had to retire ONLY due to MEDICAL issues which prevented us from being able to continue in our chosen career fields… otherwise, we would BOTH be doing aforementioned jobs, respectively, to this very day right now) but, yes, MOST people CAN absolutely tell when said kindness is faked or feels rather forced or is DISINGENUOUS in any manner or capacity.But, it was NOT that way here at all. It was very PLEASANT and LOVELY, all the way around, for our experience here today. Highly recommend and will most definitely be back!!!!!!!

This location is easy to get to, and we needed to grab breakfast before hitting the road home. Did not disappoint! The atmosphere is upbeat, music was at the perfect volume, clean everything, well lit. It was busy at 11am on a Saturday and our waitress was feeling rushed, she did a great job! Manager engaged with us and other guests. Host greeted us and wished us a pleasant day, and other servers did as well as we left. Perfect dining experience!!

Visited on 12/13/25 during lunchtime. This is the best IHOP we’ve been to in a LONG time. The chef’s skill was tasted with every bite. The server was so attentive, patient, and kind. The manager asked if we were satisfied with our visit. This was a trifecta. It’s worth mentioning again…. The chef’s skill was tasted with every bite. I hope they are all identified through this post and given well earned recognition and reward. Some may say, “Well, they are supposed to do that. Why give anything just for doing what you’re supposed to do?” If you’re in supervision and that is your philosophy, I would bet either your employee turnover rate is high or your employee morale is low. I digress. To the IHOP employees that day, THANK YOU ALL!

This location needs to improve at the management level. The servers work hard. Management does not have food and supplies in the restaurant. There are usually three managers walking around on a Saturday morning. They need to be making sure the ordering is made.

I’m a regular to this location. Yeah sometimes there’s a wait but not experienced that. Service has always been great. That is until today. Receipt said our server was Mesha, she was rude throughout the experience. Reason for the one star was when my wife requested a pancake refill once her original stack was gone she was treated like a child and told unless she finished her entire huge meal only then would she be allowed a refill. She called her bluff because nowhere on the menu does it say that. She informed us her manager said so like this was the third grade! She finally caved and brought her a second stack. Pancakes are dirt cheap. Why risk a customer. I’d suggest anyone looking for pancakes try cracker barrel next door or waffle house down the road. Was nit pleased with how we were treated here!!

UPDATE:. June 5, 2022-Yes, it has changed. They have more help, and that helps quite a bit in getting our meals. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles, and it was delicious!
UPDATE:. November 4, 2022-I ordered lunch while at work and walked over to pick it up. I had to wait a few minutes, but it wasn’t long. I had a Big Brunch Burger with Steak burger, Fruit, and Diet Pepsi. It was delicious!
UPDATE:. December 25, 2022-I went for their Christmas day meal. I ordered their Roast Turkey Meal off the Senior menu. It came with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. Usually, in the past, it came with Cranberries and Dressing, but they did away with that, which is a disappointment. So instead, along with the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, I ordered the Yellow and Green Beans. All of this is just as delicious. It makes for a great Christmas day.
UPDATE: June 5,2023- I was at work, so I ordered the Classic, Seasonal Fruit, and Diet Pepsi. A Classic is a classic steak burger. It was all very delicious!
UPDATE: July 5, 2023-I wanted something different, so I ordered the Pesto Egg White Omelette, with fresh fruit and a Diet Pepsi. The omelette has avocado, mushrooms, cheese, and pepper in it, and it was delicious and low calorie!
UPDATE: August 28, 2023-I was at work, so I ordered on the app. I ordered the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich, Seasonal Fruit, and Diet Pepsi. The Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich has egg and bacon on it. The biscuits were good, but they were crumbly. It was still delicious.
UPDATE: November 23, 2023-I had to be stuck at home for Thanksgiving, so I ordered out their Home style Turkey and Dressing Dinner. It came with cranberries, and it came with two sides. I chose Broccoli and Red Skin Mashed Potatoes. I also ordered Diet Pepsi. It was the best thing to having a Thanksgiving dinner, when you couldn’t spend it with your loved ones, and it was delicious! I would order it again if I have to be stuck at home for Thanksgiving.
UPDATE: December 25, 2023-I came back for Christmas, and again, I ordered the Roast Turkey Meal off of the senior menu, along with Red Skin Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and Yellow and Green Beans, and Diet Pepsi. It was just as delicious as before. If you need somewhere to go to eat on Christmas day, go to IHOP.
UPDATE: January 21, 2024-I has been a while since I have had one of their crepes, mainly because the crepes I liked have been discontinued. I noticed today there was a crepe I never saw and never had is the Chicken Pesto Crepe. I tried it, and I loved it! I am willing to have it again, and I hope they don’t discontinue it!
UPDATE: May 7, 2024-I redeemed points on the app that I got for my birthday, so I ordered their Classic burger, made with an Impossible Patty, which is plant based, Seasonal Fruit, and a Diet Pepsi. It was all delicious. I essentially got my burger for free, so I got a very cheap meal.
UPDATE: December 7, 2024-It has been a while since I ordered IHOP, and I ordered something to fill me up, so I ordered New York Cheesecake Pancakes and a Diet Pepsi. When you see the pictures, it looks good. When you order it for carry out, they have all the toppings separate. Once you get it put together, it looks as good as what you see in the pictures. When you eat it, it is delicious!
UPDATE: June 19, 2025-I ordered the Country Fried Steak Dinner with Country Gravy. It came with two sides, so I chose Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and Onion Rings. I also had a Diet Pepsi, which I got free by redeeming points. The meal was delicious, although I did get a big piece of steak. Overall, the meal was great!
UPDATE: September 27, 2025-I ordered the Spicy Pobano Eggs Benedict, along with Seasonal Fruit, and a Large Pepsi Zero. The meal was delicious, although it was supposed to come with Hollandaise Sauce on the side, and I didn’t get any. Also, the peppers in the dish was as hot as some of the sauces at Buffalo Wild Wings that I also had milk!
