Anthony our server and was incredible! We went to a concert and after the show there aren’t at ton of dining options, so after going to a Denny’s and not even being acknowledged, we chose to travel a bit further to IHOP in merrillville, IN. While initially being apprehensive about our visit we decided to stay. Anthony was the only server on duty at 1:30A when we got there. He was very friendly, quick, and accurate with our service. I was very impressed with this 20 year old. He was a very good conversationalist, server, and just overall good guy with an impeccable work ethic. Very nice to see someone so young taking life by the horns! Thank you Anthony for a great late night experience!

IHOP is hit or miss for me. This one, however, was really good! The food was hot and fresh. The service was fantastic & the restaurant was really clean. I was surprised by the level of service & for that, I’d recommend this location.

I got “curbside pickup”. i got to the restruant and hit the link they texted me. It said it was ready and that theyll bring it out in a second. So i sat and waited for 6 minutes. I figured they were busy so i walked in to get it once its ready. They had it sitting on a shelf expecting us to come in and get it even though thats not what their app or website said. Not even a sign outside. I get my food and i had 2 drinks with it. I asked for the drinks and they looked at my receipt and gave me the first drink in a small cup. Looks to be 12 oz when i ordered 16oz. So i try to get the attention of the waitress next to me and she looks at me before walking off. Ignoring me. She finally answers me and i ask her if thats the correct size and she says yes. I accept it but then i get my second drink in a kiddie cup (i ordered a 16oz) and i let her know i asked for and she rolls her eyes and i hear her tell another employee that if i wanted my order right i should have came sooner.

Our food was prepared correctly. It did come to our table nice and hot. The $6 happy hour specials are a very good price. They go in till 9 p.m. which is nice. We had a very friendly waitress that made sure our drinks were refilled.

For an ihop, it wasn’t all that. Waited for food for about 25 min. It didn’t come out hot, and sorry, the only picture I have is of the second set of toast. The first set came out looking old and wrinkle, so I got a fresh set, and they just drizzle the melted butter over it. They need to come up to par to other ihops. They did a military discount on my husband’s food.

I’ve been to this location in the past and had a great experience. Not sure what has happened, but a little care and concern for your customers will go a long way. I called my order in, the person who answered was nice and told me the food would be ready in 15 minutes. Great! I head over to the restaurant and I was about 10 minutes later than the time she gave and my food wasn’t ready. I’m thinking ok it will just be a few more minutes, perhaps they ran into a huge crowd. As I stand there and wait and wait I see part of my order just sitting on the counter in the back. And there it sat and sat and sat. I knew it was mine because I watched her bag it and bring it to me once everything was ready. 10 minutes later I asked the hostess what was going on with my order, she said oh I’m sorry it’s only two cooks. You should have told me that when I called and you said my order was going to be ready in 15 minutes. Yet, here I stand waiting for the worst waffles I am about to consume. About 7 minutes later, now going into minute 40 since I called a simple chicken and waffles order in she brings my food and then walks away. I said ummm can I pay please? She says sure follow me and leads me into the kitchen area to pay for my food. I said as the customer I don’t want to be in your kitchen and this is not how you should have your customers paying. I said I have never paid in this manner, she said we make all customers pay in this way. Oh wow, so that makes it ok?

Me and the family definitely enjoyed our time here. The food took a long time to come out but overall was good. And I was surprised how good it tasted. I will continue to suggest the country fried steak every time to everyone
