It was a cold, rainy evening and what is better than breakfast to warm your bones. We stopped at IHOP in Mineral Wells, WV for that very reason.
We were seated immediately and had our drinks within a minute or so. The young lady, Annette, took our order and proceeded to the kitchen to have it prepared.
While waiting my wife and I had a chance to chat. As the doors swung open, I could see the food fresh off the grill coming our way.
My wife had an order of Mexican Tres Leches pancakes and I had the Big Steak Omelette with a side order of hash brown potatoes. My wife and I typically share our food so we can get the full benefits of these comfort foods. Both of us looked at each other and we both realized we had terrific meals in front of us. Each bite was just so delicious. From the sweetness and fluffiness of the pancakes to the well seasoned and tender steak in my omelette. The kitchen staff definitely received 4 thumbs up from the two of us. Annette checked on us at least one more time. Very good job to everyone on shift 18 November 2025.

Ordered the classic and it was completely raw in the center, manager was making every excuse for the cook, oh he is new, well instead of being out with the waitresses flirting and joking you should be in the back training your new cook. Asked for a statement from him and he ran to the back of the store and hasn’t came back yet, his name was Bobby, they comped that item off the order asked to remake the food ummmm no absolutely not it’s nasty and i instantly lost my appetite
Edit to add Melinda, actually made it all as right as possible, she provided us a full refund, and 3 free meals of our choice, I just don’t know when I will use mine because I’m honestly a little nervous, but maybe in awhile, I’ll go back, but she handled the situation with great customer service and she was kind and understanding! To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally report an incident that occurred during a recent visit to your restaurant, which significantly impacted the dining experience for myself and my guests. The servers name was Erica.
During our meal, there was a miscommunication regarding our order, and an incorrect dish was delivered to our table. I calmly and politely informed the server of the mistake. The server returned to the kitchen, where she proceeded to loudly yell profanity about me and my guests. The volume and tone were such that it was clearly audible from the dining area and caused my guests and me to feel extremely uncomfortable and shaken.
We brought this matter to the attention of the store manager immediately. Unfortunately, the concern did not appear to be taken very seriously. A very kind server did help us the rest of our time and was pleasant. The server, Erica continued to come out of the kitchen smiling and laughing like it was anything that was being addressed or taken care of. This further escalated the discomfort and left us feeling disrespected as paying customers.
I understand that misunderstandings can occur in any customer service environment. However, profanity, hostile behavior, and the apparent lack of managerial response fall well below the standard of professionalism I would expect from an establishment such as IHOP.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it will be reviewed and addressed appropriately, including additional staff training or management follow-up, to ensure future guests do not experience a similar situation.

While all reviews complained about not getting served quickly, my experience was different. The gentleman in front sear me right away, and server also came very quick. Around 10-15 minutes my food was on the table and my coffee also refill right away. Maybe management already fix their problem, or maybe I came during slow hours

I stop in there from time to time. I am a truck driver. I dont always have time to stop in and sit and eat. But I do like the donuts they sell. We’ll I have stopped 3 different times. Only 1 of those times I have been greeted and asked if I could be helped. The last time I was in there. There was 2 ladies right by the counter. Not one one of them greeted me or asked if I c9uld be helped. They just wanted to complain about their work that they disliked. I was close enough I could hear their conversation. I have worked in the service industry before. And when a customer walks in. The first thing is to greet them. Not ignore them. Very poor on the staff and management.

Came in for a later breakfast and it was busy. Ashley our server was awesome. She gave great suggestions, was sweet, and very attentive.

Stopped in for breakfast, was told it would be about 10 minutes. Only 3 in front of us. After 20 minutes people already seated when we came in had not been served. Looked like they were very under staffed in the kitchen. The staff at the hostess desk just talked amount themselves and did not update anyone on wait time. It may just have been a staffing in the kitchen but it appeared the staff at the front didn’t care or they had not been trained about customer service. Will not stop again. Ill drive 4 miles to Bob Evans.

Went there for breakfast today. Our server Steph was AMAZING! She was so nice, checked on us multiple times, & was extremely thoughtful. She saw our kids were getting impatient so she brought our kids sides out (fruit). She also had a great personality so it brightened the mood.
My only complaint is we had 8 kids in one corner of the restaurant. I wish we were more spaced out. The booth seat was shared so we were sitting 2 feet on each side of us next to other families. But no biggie it went well! I just always worry my kiddos are being to excited or antsy.

Walked into the IHOP and everything seemed really nice. Looked around a bit and saw a man with a vape in his hand and “secretly” smoking it. Then, when we told them how much people we had, they seemed fine. We were waiting until the place cleared up to get a seat, and while we were waiting my mom realized that 2 of the waiters were talking about our family and how “they won’t see each other for a while,” probably indicating that we look like we’re gonna eat a lot and be trashy or something. Then my mom said she also noticed that while the waiters were talking, one seemed to scratch her eye with her middle finger, probably pretending to flip us off. Overall bad experience. Food was good but since the workers seemed so pissy it felt like they probably did something bad to our food.
