On a trip from New Jersey to New Hampshire we pulled in for a bite to eat. The waitress was very attentive. The food was served quickly but my sausage links were cold when they arrived at the table. I brought it to the waitresses attention and she fixed it immediately with a fresh batch.

I’ve said it before, not a fan of chains, but I was in the neighborhood waiting for a family member to get out of an appointment, so I figured I would give it a shot. The service was fast and pleasant. The food came out surprisingly fast and the waitress was very nice. Shortly after I got my food, the manager came to check if everything was good, which it was. The prices are very good. If I had to make one complaint, it would be that I asked for hot sauce and was brought to containers, one of which did not have a top and was very crusted. But besides that, everything else was perfect. I would return if in the same situation

mold was on the ceilings and floors, as well as trash and stains.
quite unsanitary and downright gross.
our waiter reeked of cigarettes and marijuana.
but she was nice as well as the other girl that served us.
our youngest boy and oldest daughter ordered the minion pancakes.
they are banana flavored pancakes with banana pieces, eggs, bacon and a sausage.
they said it was wayyy to sweet and really really gross.
neither of them finished their food.
i ordered the blueberry french toast and was good, but most of the blueberries were smashed or wrinkly.
french toast was good, syrup was watery and nasty.
we also got an avocado toast that was the worst toast I have really ever had.
it was just bread with randomly sliced avocado slices and pieces of tomato.
no seasoning, bread wasn’t even toasted.
and one nasty square of hash brown.
we will not be returning.

Run of the mill IHOP. It wasn’t an awful experience. There were few people & fewer staff. We had to actually search for a server but we did get there about an hour before closing so that probably didn’t help. Once we were seated our waitress took our orders promptly and was ultra kind and attentive and made sure we knew which drinks had free refills before we even asked. The food came out quickly and was done properly, but was not what I would consider top notch for this establishment. The kids did enjoy their meals thoroughly, so for that it’s not a loss. The bathrooms had a funny smell, almost like sulfur? Idk, it wasn’t great, but definitely not the worst I’ve encountered. For a quick breakfast for dinner stop it’ll do, but not a place I would regularly visit. I really only gave 4 stars because of our waitress, otherwise it’d be a struggling 3.

To be fair, ordering a steak at IHOP is a bad judgement call. Cooking a steak on low is not how you make a rare or medium rare steak. Instead we have a pale raw slab of meet that might not even be 10oz as advertised. I requested new eggs because the whites weren’t set at all. I heard him gripe and yell about it until I finally got my scrambled eggs. I did not eat them cause the way he spoke with disgust was not encouraging. Will not be eating here again. I essentially paid $17+ for 3 pancakes cause that’s all that was edible. I wasn’t even going to bother about the steak after that.
You can see in the picture I’m at home taking it because I was uncomfortable there afterward.
With the signs up saying “pay your server” I should’ve realized there’s issues here. Owner, get a cook who knows how to make the dishes or take them off the menu. For your future customers sake.

If you love breakfast food you, can’t beat it. They have some really good French toast and omelets. I wish the home fries were home style but they will do.
