First things first. Every time I visit cheddars, the restaurant is very clean. Floors are very clean. Restrooms are very clean. It is a very good feeling to see that when you arrive. Food is very fresh
Cooked very well. I would like to make a shout out To Delilah L for such amazing service I didn’t have to wait for refills for my drink. And I didn’t have to wait to be served but most importantly, a carrot cake service and put together was beyond delicious.

Got a gift card for Christmas. I usually drive by Cheddars because the parking lots are usually very full, and I don’t have time for that. Sat at the bar, got a happy hour margarita, Ellen got a glass of wine. Crousaints were warm and delicious. The combo appetizer was big and very good. The fried cheese curds were great. We ended up taking most of our dinner to go, after the big app, we were pretty full. Her pot pie warmed up nicely, but lacked flavor and pretty much any seasoning. The ribs were good, not great. Loaded baked potato was very good. We were looking forward to the broccoli cheese casserole, but they forgot to put it in the togo bag. It’s an acceptable chain restaurant, but nothing remarkable. Very friendly people there, would return, but only if the parking lot isn’t jam packed.

This was our second visit to Cheddar Scratch Kitchen, and overall, we had a good experience. Everything was fine, and we enjoyed our time. I did notice the chicken was a bit over-salted, and I let the waitress know, and she said they would pass it along to the kitchen. Despite that, I still believe they can improve, and we’ll definitely consider returning.

We had a server named Frank who was a total sweetheart with a sense of humor. Service was great, no line on a friday at 6:15pm but the restaurant was busy! The croissants were amazing, my new favorite. We had Wisconsin cheese bites which were great. Steaks were cooked right (one had just a little too much pepper/seasoning on it) and sides were yummy as well. Overall great prices for decent food! Would definitely return!

We’d visited here 3 times not long after they first opened in 2022 and the service was the slowest we’d ever had in our lives. As a result we hadn’t been back since. We thought we’d give them another try since it’s been 3 years & we really love Cheddar’s food. Thankfully, we had the complete opposite experience this evening. Our waitress was super attentive and the kitchen staff was promos with our appetizer and entrees. The food, of course, was excellent and the portions were generous. We’re excited to start frequenting Cheddar’s regularly.

We went there when they first opened and it was awful. However, we decided to go for lunch and then a few months later did a To go dinner. They have improved tremendously. I do not know if they got new waitstaff, cooks or management but it definitely shows. Food was great, service and atmosphere. If you had a bad experience like we did first time we went, I would recommend giving them another chance. They did not disappoint both times we went over the last 2 months. Im hoping it stays this way because the whole family liked everything they got.

First time at Cheddars. Staff is very personable. Food was very fast out of the kitchen. Best cheeseburger I have had in a long time. Flavor was out of this world. The croissants they serve are delicious. Also had the rib dinner. I cannot say enough about how great our experience was at Cheddars! Our new favorite place for dinner.

Update: We decided to give Cheddar’s in Port Charlotte one more try. We were seated and it took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. Multiple employees walked by and didn’t say a word or offer to request a server to come to us. We had to ask if anyone was available. You would think that at least one of the employees would have realized that we were sitting there. This was the last chance that we were willing to give them. Not going there again.
Thank you to Cheddar’s for reaching out to me and making things right from our last experience at the Port Charlotte location. The visit was a little bit better the second time. We will visit Cheddar’s again in the future.
The Key West Chicken & Shrimp was good. Had a decent amount of heat to it. Pot Pie was just okay. The Honey Butter Croissants were good. I’m not sure what happened to mine, but it was super pale. Flavor was still there.

Definitely will go back. The signature drink (you can only have 2) was awesome. Food was great. MUST try the complimentary croissants. Definitely will go back.

Had an amazing experience at the Cheddar’s in Port Charlotte. Sat at the bar, bartender Carol who is absolutely an amazing, sweet woman, great personality super funny. She’s a painter. She paints on the old alcohol bottles that are gonna get thrown out, displays them at bar. Carol was kind enough giving them to customers for their birthday and Easter. I think she decorated all around the bar. Food is excellent, Buffalo chicken wrapper and steaks are fantastic. All around great customer service from all staffers. Free croissants before your meal, they’re most excellent and the desserts are to die for. I highly recommend this Cheddar’s location !!
