Food is very bland! No flavor, no seasoning, and no spice whatsoever! Rice is very dry and tasteless. The yams were the only decent thing on this platter. Definitely NOT worth $15.38. – this was a medium platter.

Ignite cuisine is a local Jamaican spot that I heard About, but I never got around to try it. Me, my mom and my son were greeted by a nice lady who gave me a menu with the pricing on it. She was very nice and happily answered all of our questions without an attitude. She was patient and kind to us even in our decisiveness of what to get. Me and my mom both got a large brown stew, chicken platters with rice, cabbage, and candy yams. All for a great price of $16 per platter! You get your choice of protein with rice and 2 side with a large size platter. The platters were more than enough and well worth the money that I spent. She even allowed us to look at the platters before we left to assure that we’re satisfied! I also got a beef patty with cocoa bread, which I can’t speak at the moment because I haven’t tried it yet But once I do, I’ll try to edit my review. The brown stew chicken is easily the best that I have had in this area. My only complaint regarding it is the choice of chicken breast for the Chicken the chicken breast pieces were very dry But as a whole, it’s very flavorful. The dark meat pieces were chefs kiss IMMACULATE! The candied yams are delicious and so is the cabbage. Thank you for the pleasant experience. ILL BE SURE TO BE BACK AND TRY DIFFERENT STUFF NEXT !

We got delivery and the food was amazing! We got the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken and ox tail and everything was sooo good and filling. Everything that came with it was great too (rice, cabbage and fried plantains). We also got Ting to try since we never had it before and now we are both addicted! Will absolutely be going back!

I really want to give this place 5 stars. I really do, however my love and passion for caribbean food won’t allow it.
The service was friendly and pleasant. The restaurant appears clean and well kept.

I ordered roti shells and jerk chicken
Unfortunately the roti shells didn’t deliver imo. They were tough and waxy. (Anyone who’s familiar with Caribbean inspired Roti knows that’s NOT It!)
The chicken was just oka. It lacked seasoning. It wasn’t totally bland but didn’t taste anything like jerk chicken that had been marinated.
Grab a bottle of a beverage that was supposed to be soursop. Not sure if it was honestly. It had a great taste. Was slightly sweet. ( I always thought soursop was bitter)

This is simply MY non bias objective feedback.
I’m believe there are many with a less developed palette ( for authentic Caribbean food) will find this restaurant a good choice iMO.

Decided to try this new restaurant and overall it was pretty good. I ordered online so I couldn’t pick my sides and they just gave me cabbage without plantains, that’s the reason I deducted a star. Also online you can’t order beef patties or coco bread. I ordered a medium oxtail, which is the size to go if you want a meals worth of oxtail. The rice had a coconut taste to it, which was nice and I appreciate the good quality rice. The oxtails were very tender and had good flavors without being overpowering. The cabbage was also good. It is pricey but I understand oxtails are a luxury food right now and they’re pricey everywhere. Next time I’ll go in person and try other things. Just hope they update their online menu to reflect the sides and appetizers.

The people working there are really sweet; very nice. I don’t have anything bad to say , really- it’s just that I’m used to “more flavor,” esp with Caribbean dishes. The rice and beans were good but everything were too mildly seasoned for me. I got the curry chicken tonight, which was not slow cooked; the chicken meat was white and bland, so I can tell it wasn’t marinated long enough or even at all. Being Jamaican for ten years I guess my pallet has been trained.

Would I order again? Sure, I’d have to take it home and doctor it up first. My experience there was nice so I’d go back just because of that.

I’d say this is the best Jamaican I’ve had in this area. The food was good, and the portions are decent. We decided to go here after Jamaics didn’t have brown stew chicken or cabbage. Ignite is definitely better than the local competitors, and the service is friendlier. The food came out really quick, too.

The staff is friendly. I’ve had quite a few dishes here and they have all been delicious. The juices are good, my favorite being sorrel and soursop. They also have unsweetened options for the juices as well. I’ve had chicken and beef patties, curry goat roti, saltfish with butter bean, mannish water ( soup) , Ackee and saltfish, and all were delicious.

This restaurant is selling Halal food. I don’t know what that is but it is ruining Jamaica Food.
Food tastes Terrible. The gentleman told me it is most authentic Jamaican Food around.
Maybe for the garbage can.
I was born and bread in Jamaica our food did not taste like that.

Just stopped for a quick bite and ordered 2 patties with coco bread. The lady asked if I was paying with cash or card. I opted for cash, wasn’t sure if there was a minimum or extra charge for card. She said total was 6 and change, gave her a 20 and she questioned if I had something smaller, to which I said no. Then she proceeded to give me back only 12 bucks with an attitude. I could’ve used a card for that and to be jipped out of 2 bucks. That was unprofessional and I didn’t want to cause any argument. The police officer was right behind me. Anyways, the patties and bread were served hot but very thin patties. The beef was typical, not really flavorful. The chicken was spicy. The bread itself wasn’t flavorful but was soft and warm, ate it with the beef patty. Due to that payment experience, it was a turn off from going back to try a meal. Maybe down the line, I’ll reconsider.
